It's been some time since Goro Akechi became free of Shido and became rich beyond reason. If he was being honest, he was conflicted about it. On the one hand, that bastard gets to rot in a cell, on another hand his mother and all that monster's victims finally get some recompense, then on the other other hand damnit he's still fucking alive, and on the last hand is a very important question: "What do I do now?" It's easy to forget, but ever since he was a child, ever since he witnessed his mother's death, this was his goal. To avenge her. To make the monster that drove her to such a point, to the point of shortening the wonderful she could've had, pay. Make them suffer. He needed to break him. Well now that goal is achieved, so what does he do now? He can do what he wants, yes but...he doesn't know what that is. He had an identity crisis. Goro felt himself slipping, he never expected to survive this, let alone have a life afterwards. He truthfully wanted to die, it felt like his story came to an end. There was nothing left to tell. However, someone wasn't going to let that happen. His soulmate. His rival. His other half. His love. His Akira, would never ever let him fall. He swore to never let him go again and he believed him. When Goro crumbled Akira simply got the glue, a magnifying glass, and slowly began to painstakingly put him back together. Piece by piece. Bit by bit, until Goro was rebuilt anew.

An actually functional diet

Akira decided to start small and enlisted the help of some professionals. "HI, GUYS! ARE YOU READY???" A blonde girl ran up to the couple positively glowing. The girl was guiding a very distracted bluenette artist, who was drawing rather than looking where he was going. Ann Takamaki, absolute foodie, snack queen, and sweets lover, and her partner in crime, Yusuke. Goro gave a smile, out of the thieves (besides Akira obviously,) Ann and Yusuke were his favorites. He caught the girl as she jumped for a hug before she did the same to a laughing Akira. Yusuke finally snapped out of his stupor to smile and hug the two as well which was gratefully returned. "Thank you for coming, Ann and Yusuke." She grinned, "Anything for my besties! Now let's turn Goro into a foodie!" Yusuke nodded happily, "It's my pleasure to help Goro, besides I kind of haven't eaten in a bit." Akira gave him a scolding glare. Goro made a mental note to take Yusuke shopping. He tilted his head confused about Ann's comment, wasn't he already a foodie? "I do like food, I even have a food blog." Ann scoffed, "Honey, knowing about food and liking food is different. When you like food, you truly unwind and savor it, less about analyzing and more about just enjoying. This isn't about popular food, this is about loving good food. Now let's make you a menu!" The brunette was dragged away by the three, who were all laughing. A smile naturally slipped on his lips and his eyes softened. They passed a woman, no one else saw her. He did. All he could see was her soft smile. 'Red.' He felt safe.

Sat in a cafe, they all sat down. "Alright boys, let's get down to business." Ann slapped down a notebook startling a once again distracted Yusuke. Goro smacked Akira, who had his elbows on the table. With a yelp the boy retracted them. Yusuke spoke up this time, "Firstly, Goro you need to relax some, no need to be so strict with your manners, this isn't a formal dinner. It's a meal among friends, so just unwind." Hesitantly, the boy nodded and kissed Akira's cheek in apology. Slowly he slumped revealing his previous tenseness. He sighed tiredly and ran a hand through his getting longer hair. He felt like growing it out, it curled like his... Akira saw his mood shift slightly and spoke up for once, "That's better honey, now let's start with likes and dislikes, obviously you like sweets." Goro puffed his cheeks blushing and huffed, "S-So what?! And um, I'm alright with spice but I don't care for it too much." He gave a look to Akira. The noir simply drank some water looking away innocently. Two and a half pairs of eyes rolled at him. "However, throughout the years of molding myself, I became pretty neutral about most foods. Besides sweets I never paid attention to what I came to prefer, just that spice is towards the bottom of the list." Ann nodded mortified, then a smirk slipped on Akira's pretty face. "I think I have a solution for this dilemma."
