Chapter 2

~Killua's POV~

I set my dinner plate in the sink while looking down at my phone. It's 9:34, flower hill dude still hasn't came back. Maybe I'm free for the night? I thought as I walked over to the couch, say down and went on Instagram. His last name was Freecss right? Quickly, I typed in 'Gon Freecss' and a profile with him as the profile picture popped up. He looked good in it but also like a complete idiot. I shrugged it off, followed him and started scrolling through his profile. He's decent looking now that I think about it- then I heard it. A damn knock at my door. I sighed, stood up while shoving my phone in my sweat pant pocket and walled over to the door. Before opening it I rubbed my eyes and opened the door, leaning on the door frame.

"Hi Killua!" He grinned, he had a sweet sort of smile. A calming one.

"Hello Gon. What do you want now?" I crossed my arms as his eyes seemed to light up with a look as if I was gonna regret asking.

"Star gazing! It's really clear out tonight." He said with that same look. Yeah I regret asking now but I guess it could be fun? What am I saying? Me? Fun? You know what. Fuck it.

"Fine, let me put on my shoes." I moved away from the door and bent down, quickly slipping on and tying my shoes. I stood back up and stepped out of the door while shutting it behind me. Gon just stared at me, I couldn't tell what he was thinking. "Stop staring."

"Right! Sorry." He turned around, jumping off the stairs while I walked down them. We started walking towards the exit of the forest, dead leafs crunching beneath our feet. "You go star gazing a lot?"

"Sometimes." I crossed my arms as we stepped out of forest and looked up at the sky. Full moon? I smiled to myself as I looked at the hill, there was a two story house on the opposite side of us it was surrounded by beautiful flowers. All over them we're lit up by moon light.

"Pretty right?" Gon walked in front of me and spun around then crossed his legs, lowering himself and sitting crossed cross on the ground.

"It's gorgeous." I said as I sat next to him with my knees hugged up to my torso. Even with it being late June it was cooler night, not freezing but I probably should of grabbed a sweater.

"Are we friends then?" He fell backwards and uncrossed his legs, staring up at the dark sky.

"Nope." I layed back as well, crossing my arms over my stomach. I stared up at the sky and looked at the full moon, the millions of stars.

"Come on! Why not?" He sounded like a whiny kid. Honestly he was probably a whiny kid when he was younger.

"Don't do friends." I rubbed my eyes then layed them back over my stomach.

"Have you ever been friends with someone?" He turned his head to look at me. Have I ever been friends with someone? Of course- yeah no I haven't.

"No- Why does that matter?" I looked at him with a confused expression. I don't need to have been friends with someone to know I don't like friends.

"Because it does! You're my age and you've never had a friend?" He stared at me as I stared back.

"No? I've never needed one!" I groaned. It's not like I was lying, I've never had the time or need for a friend.

"That just sounds sad Killua." He sighed.

"I'll make a deal with you. If you can make me want to be you're friend within the next two months then we can hang out and- do friend stuff." I rubbed my eyes while Gon perked up slightly.

"And if you don't want to be my friend?" He turned his head back up at the sky, staring at the stars.

"Then you have to leave me alone and never talk to me again." I said while still looking at me. He quickly say up and stuck his hand out.

"Deal!" He grinned as I sat up and locked my hand with his.

"Deal." Was I gonna regret this? Probably. Well he seems nice actually. Maybe I'll actually have a friend.

"I'll make you my friend in no time." He said as I took my hand away and wrapped my arms around myself. I have goosebumps. I'm freezing to death.

"Are you cold? You're shivering." He raised his eyebrow.

"No dip. Why else would I be shivering?" I said as he took off his hoodie and handed it to me. "What?"

"Take it, I don't need it." He smiled AGAIN. This dude really does smile a lot. Do you think his face gets tired from smiling?

"Why would I take your hoodie?" I knit my eye brow together.

"Because I'm offering it to you! Just take it!" He grabbed my hand and set the hoodie in it.

"Um thanks." I took the hoodie in both of my hands and slipped it on. It smelled like a foresty kind of cologne, it was calming.

"Alright it's getting late let's get you home." He stood up and put out his hand to help me up. I grabbed his hand, standing up as well. We both started walking, Gon smiled and let go of my hand as he turned around. He started walking backwards in front of me saying stupid puns and joke as I rolled my eyes, smiling at myself. As approached my front door he said: "Well here we are."

"Right- You probably want this back." I pulled at the hoodie as he waved his hands in front of him.

"No no! You can give it back tomorrow, I'll stop by in the morning alright?" He put his hands in his pant pockets.

"Sounds good. I'll see you in the morning." I smiled as he pulled me into a hug. "Woah! Ok what the hell are you doing??"

"Hugging you? Friends hug each other." He said.

"Oh yeah- Just haven't hugged very many people." I hugged him back then he pulled away, grinning.

"Alright see you tomorrow Killua!" He ran down the steps quickly as I stood there watching him. I opened the door, walked over to the couch and sat down. Alright fuck. I'm a smiling mess. What the hell is happening?? I sighed and stood back up, went to my bedroom then took off my shoes. I tossed them across my room and jumped onto my bed then closed my eyes, all I could smell was another person cologne. A calm and soothing smell. I smiled to myself as I drifted off to sleep.
