Orochimaru arrived at Professor Oak's lab and saw that Gary, Damian, and the girl whose name is Leaf here too, were waiting for the professor to come back with the starter Pokemon.
"Hey snake creep, where your loser of a little brother?" Gary asked.
"Gary, shut up. My brother Ash is not a loser."
"Orochimaru and Gary don't start fighting. It's so annoying," Damain said.
"I agree," Leaf said.
"Damian and Leaf are right," Professor Oak said."Now come along this way to choose your pokemon since Ash isn't showing up anytime soon, " He said, leading the four kids where he showed them the starter pokemon he had available for them to choose from.
"This is Squirtle, a water type. The next one is Bulbasaur, a grass type, and finally Chamander, a fire type. Now three of you have to choose one to be your starter pokemon and train them to be stronger," Professor Oak said. "Is for you, Orochimaru. I have a Pokemon that you might like to have. Now how about the female picks her starter first," He said.
Leaf stared at the three Pokemon, trying to decide on which Pokemon she wanted to be her starter Pokemon.
"Any day now, Leaf," Gary muttered.
"Gary leave her alone and let her decide what Pokemon she wants," Orochimaru said.
"Thanks, Orochimaru and I decided on Bulbasaur," Leaf said, picking up the Bulbasuar.
"Alright, here is Bulbasuar Pokeball," Professor Oak said, heading Leaf Bulbasaur Pokeball."Next Damain or Gary."
After Gary picked Squirtle and Damain with Chamander, Professor Oak headed them their pokeballs for Charmander and Squirtle.
"Now it's your turn Orochimaru," Professor Oak said, grabbing a Pokeball from inside a drawer and touching the button on the center of the Pokeball. It turned bigger, opening and revealing a Charmander but with it was dark blue instead of orange and was yellow on the lower body and soles along with a dark blue flame."This Charmander is the child of a Dragonite and Charizard, so she is both fire and a dragon type. I know how much you like the Pokemon Charizard and Dragonite, so I decided to give you one of Charmander's breed from both of them."
"Cool, hey there, I'm Orochimaru. You're new trainer," Orochimaru introduced, stareing into his new Charmander's purple eyes with his slightly emotionless golden snake eyes.
"Charmander!" The Charmander nodded, jumping up into his new trainer's arms.
Professor Oak then handed them ten pokeballs and rectangular deceive, each in different colors. One was red, blue, green, and finally, purple.
"The pokedex will inform you of any Pokemon you encounter and catch during your journey," Professor Oak explained.
Gary and the other two left to show the other kids and parents their Pokemon.
"Orochimaru, will you be heading back home?" Professor Oak asked.
"I'm going to wait for Ash. He is already late, but I promise him we will get are Pokemon together before setting off on our Pokemon journey."
"I only have one more Pokemon left through it kind of has a problem," Professor Oak explained.
"I understand," Orochimaru said, heading outside to wait for his younger brother Ash.

After a few more hours, Ash had finally showed up at Professor Oak in his pajamas and bumped into Gary, which led to an argument
"About time you got here, Ash," Orochimaru said, noticing his brother's presence.
"Hey, Orochimaru, why didn't you wake me up this morning?" Ash asked.
"Because little brother, I tried to wake you up, but you wouldn't wake on up. I wasn't going to waste any more time trying," Orochimaru replied.
"Fair point, big brother," Ash replied, seeing his older brother point.
The two siblings headed inside as Ash chose a Pokemon, but they were all gone except for one. Ash was then given a Pokeball with a lightning symbol on it.
He opened It, and out came a Pikachu. Ash starts hugging it tightly and is told to stop before being shocked by a powerful Thundershock. Professor Oak tries to give Ash his pokeballs and pokedex, but Pikachu shocks him and Ash with a pleased expression on its face.
Orochimaru sighed at the scene seeing his brother going to need a lot of help on this journey.
Ash was now changed into his traveling clothes as they met up with their mom and a large crowd here to send them off.
Their mom starts going on about Ash leaving and reminding him to remember to change his underwear. Ash tries to return Pikachu to get ready to go, but in the end, Pikachu decides It has had enough and shocks everyone except for Orochimaru since he backed away after seeing it coming.
Orochimaru didn't get such an embarrassing-winded speech. She just tells him to keep a good eye on Ash and remember to trust his brother and the friends he makes, and never forget how special he was. She then gives him Pokeball their father left for him before he wasn't seen again.
He opened it, and out came a green Ekans. He looked at it curiously before returning it back to its Pokeball.
The Ketchum brothers then headed off to begin their Pokemon journey. As a set-off for Route 1.
