Old friend - a suite life on deck story

Chapter 3

Zack, Jaden, and Marisa finally made to the grocery store after 30 min of being stuck in traffic.

"Okay guys since you didn't complain the whole time we were stopped you can each pick out one treat."

"YAY!" Screamed Jaden and Marisa in unison.

They then started running to the snack isle when they ran into someone due to not watching where they were going.

"I'm so sorry ma'am,they just got really excited and decided that actually watching where they were going wasn't very important."

"Oh that's okay. I know how kids can be. I worked at a hotel for 4 years, and there lived the two wildest kids you'd ever meet."

"Really? Where'd you work."asked Zack, starting to recognize who he was talking to.

"The Tipton. I was the candy counter girl, and I also babysat the little Boys while their mom was at work."

"I knew I recognized you! Your Maddie Fitzpatrick!"

"Yeah and who are you?" Maddie started to ask a little freaked out.

"I would tell you but since I like leaving people in suspense, I'll let you figure that out for yourself."

"Come on! Can't you at least give me a hint!"

"Ok I'll give you one but that's it and it won't really give it away. I used to be short."

"Wow, nice hint." Maddie said sarcastically."can't I get another one?"

"Meet me here tomorrow and I'll give you another one, but I got to go right now or my wife will kill me for being late for my brother and his wife's surprise anniversary party that she's spent the last month planning. Jaden, Marisa lets go!"

"Ok see you tomorrow."

That night Maddie was thinking about all of the people who the "mystery man" could be. She knew that she recognized him, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

"Maybe lance? no he wasn't short, and he probably wouldn't have changed much. Mr. Moseby? No, he was short, but he wouldn't have grown taller, changed his eye color, and hair color. Maybe it was Patrick. No Patrick was never short! This is going to drive me crazy! Who is it! Maybe it's one of the twins. Hmmm... That's a possibility but he didn't really have the same face as either of them. All well. Hopefully he'll give me a bigger hint tomorrow."

And with that, she went to sleep.
