Hi I just wanna say that I don't write a lot so I'm sorry if the format is messed up, I'm too lazy to do my research, so you get what you get, some criticism is wanted, please let me know if you like it! I'll post chapters daily.

Finally finished with high school, graduating with honors, and Just received word that I'm accepted into YU, with a full paid scholarship, definitely deserving of it, working my ass of for my place in life for 4 years, putting on a fake face and trying to be included in everything, joined sports, extra clubs, took my required classes for college and my after school photography classes, I had a job at a camera store on the weekend too, pretty good pay for just 2 days of work a week.

Mom didn't seem delighted about the news, she doesn't see me as a prized daughter, one worth loving, she sees me as a roommate if anything, and she knows when I leave there won't be anyone to go out and get her more alcohol and smokes , won't be anyone to clean up her mess, and she doesn't wanna be "alone", she hasn't payed attention to me other than my necessity's since my father died, he died in a experiment gone wrong at Hawkins lab, a explosion went off and he was in the center of it, Hawkins lab has been closed ever since.

"Damn it's closed" Ella sighs, I look up at the Hawkins pub sign in dissatisfaction, we were suppose to celebrate my acceptance into college tonight, we've planned on having a huge party for the past week now.

"Aw y/n don't look so upset, there's other things we can do" Ella smirks and bumps your arm with her elbow, "we can go to the haunted lab" she wiggles her eyebrows at me.

"I told you we're not doing that!" I laugh, Ella's been wanting to sneak into the Hawkins lab for the past year because she believes there's still people there and their doing illegal stuff, I personally don't think so, it seems pretty dead to me, but there has been some rumors here and there about kidnapped children there.

I look over and see Ella pouting at me, crossing her arms as she taps her foot.

"Alright I guess it wouldn't hurt just to look, but see anything weird and we leave" I said

"Knew you weren't a party pooper" Ella says, she grins mischievously.

I rub my arms while we're walking to my car, I've suddenly got this chill and a horrible feeling, I feel eyes pry into my back and I quickly whip my head around.

No one.

"Ready to go Ella?"

"Ready when you are"

I jam the keys into the lock and twist slightly, then grab the lever to drive, I then lightly press my foot on the pedal and we start driving.

The lab isn't that far, only about 10 miles away from the pub, we pass a couple stores, and then some trees and then it gradually gets more and more empty, I slowly come to a stop at the gates surrounding  the huge white lab, and Ella and I quickly get out. Walking over to the gate I quickly notice something.

"Ella look there's a hole in the gate, we can get through here." I said

"Great eye y/n"

We walk over to the hole and I glance up "no trespassing" and I suddenly get an uneasy feeling, what if something collapses on us? What if  there's cops? What if there's homeless people or thugs? We could be attacked! All the things that could possibly go wrong run through my head and I start to panic slightly, I quickly climb through the hole after Ella.

I've lost sight of Ella, I swear she was just here, I spin in circles trying to spot her, when I suddenly hear a scream, I look over and see a man holding Ella from behind, choking her, he looks older and is wearing black clothes with what looks like a vest and I spot the gun on his hip.
