(guys forget the 'ardoni live 3,5x longer than humans' thing it doesn't make sense lol) (for future readers I removed it)
"Yes, I do," she began, a small tint of the exact blue on her markings appearing on her cheeks, "Is he still alive or did that little s#$t get himself in trouble?"
"I imagine he did get himself in trouble, but he is probably still alive," I answered, worried about dad possibly being in the interrogation rooms for weeks.
"I've sent him a letter or two the past month, hasn't responded yet, though," she explained her worry. Ria put down her book on a table next to her chair, and walked towards us, "what happened?"
"Well, I got myself in trouble, and dad-" I started, but got interrupted.
"Who's your dad?" Diara asked.
"Uhm, that would be the exact person we're talking about," I said.
"Wait, Senn...?"
"No, my good sir, he didn't marry," I joked around, "was the only one willing to take me in after the war, because of... well, this," I pointed to my horns for the second time this day. I already put a couple pieces together. Now lets fix this puzzle, "So you were the Sendaris friend he mentioned when he was saving people from the Ardoni raids?"
"Probably, yeah," she commented.
"What are the Ardoni raids?" Frances interrupted. Diara explained it while Philip, Ria and I talked amongst each other.
"What happened when I was away?" she asked me first.
"Well, as long as I remember, I've lived with Senn. Probably since I was a baby or something," I began my story, then whispered, "Then, about a week ago, jeez that was just a week ago, I accidentally murdered someone and got sentenced to death. Dad helped me escape," I talked on a normal volume again, "And here I am."
"How come you accidentally murder someone?" Philip asked quietly.
"I uhm... I have a really short temper, and I kicked him too hard in the face, and well," I paused for a moment, "I snapped his neck."
"You must be a very strong fighter then," Ria commented, probably trying to eliminate the dark tint of the story, "I've never met someone who could do that. Are you good in hand to hand combat?"
"I guess," I muttered.
"Want to have a try sometime?" Ria asked.
"Sorry, what?" I responded.
"Do you want to train in hand to hand combat?"
"I mean... I have a weapon and I don't know how to use it yet, but hand to hand would be useful-" I explained, getting interrupted by Diara.
"I can help you with that!" she commented.
"You don't have to-"
"Well it's for free. It doesn't cost me much time if we just do one hour a day," she planned, "and I'm sure Ria can make some time?"
"Well, my husband is away from 9 'till 5," Ria began, "and I'm usually free from 1. And it's two o'clock right now," she looked at the sun, inspecting its position in the sky, "so right now I could train 'till 4."
"Why do they have to train with you when your husband is away?" Philip asked again. Both Diara and Ria ignored the question, quickly looking away, "Is this also a time when adults say 'you'll understand when you're older', Kinsley?"
"Are you seriously bringing this up now, Pip?" I blurted, quickly slapping my mouth when saying Pip.
"Y-yeah." He shied away a bit at the mention of the nickname.
