A/n - platonic DG pairing. I put Lookism, Viral Hit and Manager Kim into one because I'm lazy so they're all compiled into this one story :))

This contains spoilers for chapter 354 onwards - I'll put a spoiler warning in right before, so it'll be a separate section, and I'll put a warning for when it ends too, so you can skip that part if you're not caught up with the storyline yet.

DG is a bit of a strange brother.

On the one hand, he's protective and he seems a bit overbearing.

He definitely keeps you shielded from the media. In fact, they don't actually have any evidence of him having a sister. He doesn't want anyone knowing about you. Not because he's embarrassed, but to keep you safe.

A perfect example of why is the creepy stalker he had.

What would she have done, had she known about you? He doesn't want to know.

On the other hand, it almost seems like he hates you. To you at least. He critiques everything you do, everything you wear, everything you say. He keeps you at distance all the time, both physically and emotionally.

He does go out with you in public, and he barely bothers giving you any attention when you're talking to him.

So he has this weird spectrum of behaviour - at times he's super overbearing, controlling what you do and when you do it, and then he does a complete 180 and avoids you like the plague.

While it bothers you, you don't say anything. A part of you probably believes it's normal, seeing as you have nothing to compare his behaviour to. It's not like you have any other siblings.

It embarrasses you to hear people talk about how amazing he is. Of course, no one knows that he's your brother, and you don't ever mention it to anyone.

He's not a great brother, but he's good in the ways you'll never know or understand. He keeps you safe from threats you never knew existed.

In terms of being an idol, his life is pretty hectic.

He makes sure to try and spend time with you at least once a week, even if it's just a few minutes. His schedule is usually packed so he thinks it means a lot for him to spend a bit of time with you when he can.

If you have hopes of becoming an idol, he subtly tries to steer you in a different direction - any other profession really. He knows how difficult it is and he doesn't want you to go through the same trials many other trainees go though.

He knows that you'll be able to do it if you really wanted to. You've got both the looks and the talent to get far in the industry.

Another reason he doesn't want you anywhere near the idol industry is because you becoming popular or recognised would mean that other people would see you - it would mean that you might try to leave.

You know many people, yes - but that doesn't mean you have a lot of friends. Quite the contrary, people tend to maintain surface level relationships with you only.

Not that he'd ever tell you, but he tends to scare people off when he notices them getting too comfortable in your company. He doesn't want you getting any bright ideas and trying to run off with one of your "friends".

Are they really your friends if they try to take you away from your older brother? Trying to separate you from the only family you have left doesn't seem like something a true friend would do.

You're a few years younger than him, so you're still in school.

For the most part, you're pretty isolated - he pays for private tutors so that you don't have to leave to go to school. Any after school activities you want to do can be done at home too.
