Chapter 3: Bloodless Red-Hand

It is one of my busy working day today of the month. I was arranging meetings for the staffs. We are nearing to the month-end. I have much work communicating with the employees, documenting the workload, scheduling the duties, and reviewing the reviews of the clients. I have to make sure everything is done before the time.

It is past 12 noon, when I heard a knock on my office door. Fortunately, I was given an office room as I had too many documents to work on, which can't be accessed in a small cabin. Rita, the receptionist was panting and she looked like she saw a ghost.

"Hi Raelyn, Mr. Gray asked you to see." She did vomit the words.

"Hey Ms. Rita! I'll be there." I said nodding.

"Why aren't you picking up the call. And, you need to be quick." She was still panting between the words.

"Really? Alright. Here I go." I got up inspecting the receiver of the office phone on desk.

Mr. Austin Gray aka Boss. He is handsome, super dude, super hot, muscular tall and all that a woman would dream of. But, he is off-limits. Firstly, because he got an aura to scare the shit out of people. Secondly, he has a fiancée/girlfriend, who is super hot too.

Mostly, I report to Mr. Cooper, the Administrator. I work under his orders. But, he is too old to stay in office for long hours, hence I have to look for his matters too. Mr. Cooper is Mr. Gray's uncle, who is always nice to me. I feel bad about his health. He should retire soon, but Mr. Gray has very less people in the Top Management as he got some trust issues. Now, I have too.

I rushed to his office and knocked on the door.

"Come in." His smoothly rough voice.

I stood in front of his desk, where he was sitting looking into his laptop screen. I noticed few members from our team are also present there looking nervous.

"Straight to the point. We are leaving to Northumberland tomorrow. We need to crack the deal with the person who sees the healthcare facilities. The details will be shared via email. Everyone get ready to work and prepare a good strategic plan." He said looking straight into our eyes.

He is explaining about the requirements, objectives, goals, etc. We usually know how to prepare the work plans and strategic plans, which go hand-in-hand. But, this one is different. We will be cracking the biggest deal this year, if you see the numbers.

Mr. Gray did not give details of the person we will be working with. As I said, he got trust issues. He will never reveal what and how he is working to avoid the leak. Yes, his rivals always look forward to snatch a deal from him. Some employees were suspected and fired. Hence, everyone struggles to prove themselves worthy, trustworthy.

This was a standing meeting, as we were all getting the commands from Mr. Gray in his office, scribbling on our notepads in a standing position. Mostly, these discussions should done in a meeting room, but we are talking about Mr. gray, who is out of our League.

After the meeting was finished, everyone started leaving his office. I stayed, I too wanted to rush as it's too late. He knew why I am still standing in his office,

"You're excused. Just finish the plan. Stay in touch with the team" He said returning his eyes to the screen.

"Is the daycare still open?" I asked.

He looked at me, "Yes."

"May I know where can I get the details?" I asked expectantly.

"I will send the details to your cabin." He said.

"Thank you, Mr. Gray." I thanked him and started walking towards the door.

"Ms. Wood, I am glad you're accompanying this time." He said, his voice distant, due to the space.
