swimming

I was 10 at this time, and my family went on vacation to Florida. The place was great and it was the best time ever. Up until the fourth night. I was really bored and wanted to go swimming. "Hey mom can I go swimming?" I asked "Yeah but-" I interrupted "But don't go swimming at night I know, you've told me this all my life. I'll be fine, don't worry." I say. "Ok fine." Mom says. I went to the pool and dove in. I was all alone, which was a little scary but I was fine. I was swimming and I didn't notice that it was getting late. And soon enough, it was completely dark. How long have I been out here? I think. I just ignored my thoughts and kept swimming. "Hello?" A girl said. "H-hello?" I ask stuttered "You shouldn't be out here." She said. "Who are you?" I ask. "I can't tell you that, but I can tell you that you need to leave before he gets you." She whispered. "Before who gets me?" I asked. "Him." She said. I looked around and see a tall man with no eyes big smiling mouth with sharp teeth. "ELLIE!" My mom screamed and pulled me out of the pool and we started running as fast as we could. We barely escaped. From that day forward I never go swimming at night.
