"Runnnnn!" An unfamiliar voice screamed but it was too late Oceana was being dragged under. she fought and swam with every fiber of her being.
"Help!!" her voice was raspy even to her own ears. she's been screaming for what felt like hours. she screamed and she screamed over and over. Oceana latched onto a pole that's being held down by a car, pulling herself above the water. her gaze searched frantically for help. "help!?" Oceana yells as best as she can. The car gives and is being rushed by the wave. She was under water again, pinned with the car, being pushed further and further. She can't breathe. She cried as she struggled to free herself. It was impossible, Oceana could only go so long without air. The voice came back "You know not to run to the water, what if it took you!" The words faded, she was dizzy, her ears ringing, her vision blurred. All she could think was "It took me, just like you said."
The cold iron plate was on the top of the counter, clanging sounds were produced when another metal scraped the surface, and a different sound when the iron plate dropped on the cold marble counter.
"dang! I cant remove it" the woman groans in annoyance as she tries to scrape the cookie from the iron plate.
"I really should just put a lot of butter on this plate earlier! now the cookies are stuck!" and for what felt like the 5th time she scraped it, the cookie came off, but like all the rest, was broken into pieces. "sweetheart, it's not your fault, the stupid pan needs replaced it's older then my blood line" a man's voice said as he kissed the woman's cheek. The faces were still blurry, but she knew them well, the vision faded. Oceana cried but it was useless. Her tears were gone. The color was gone. She was alone, just her and the water, her eyes closed and she surrendered to the water.
