You walked through the door of your home, breathing in the familiar scent. You were so glad to be back, being in a hospital was the worst. Though some good came out of it, because now your lovely daughter was welcomed to world, and your little family was finally coming back home. You turned around to see Adam coming in through the door, the car seat in one hand and your hospital bag in the other. He momentarily laid the car seat down on the floor, placing your bag right next to it. Adam wrapped his arms around you, his head atop of yours.

"I'm so glad to be home." You mumbled tiredly, the last two days had been rough on your body, giving birth was no joke.

"I know, hon." He soothed, tucking some hair behind your ear.

"Look, you go take a shower and take a nap, I'll take care of her and start some dinner. Alright?" Adam offered.

"Are you sure you can handle both?" You asked worriedly.

"I'm sure. You deserve some you time." He assured.

"What about you though? You need rest too." You asked, concerned.

"Honey, I'm not the one that just gave birth. I'll be fine, I promise." Adam promised.

"You sure?" You asked again.

"Yep, if I need you I'll get you, so don't worry. Just go relax." He assured once more, kissing you on the cheek.

"Ok." You pulled away hesitantly.

"You sure you got it?" You asked.

"Yes, I'm sure. Now seriously, go relax a bit."

You nodded, mumbling a quiet thank you. You gave your daughter a kiss before going upstairs. Adam smiled over at you daughter in her car seat, she was still asleep. He went and let her out, cradling the small infant in his big arms. He tracked down the bassinet and rolled it into the kitchen with him, laying your daughter in there comfortably, making sure she doesn't wake up. Meanwhile, you were upstairs trying to shower as quickly as possible. You really didn't want to leave Adam alone with the baby for too long, you knew that he could handle it, but part of you still worried. When you got out you came back downstairs, you peeped into the kitchen momentarily. Everything was fine though, she was still sleeping, and Adam was making dinner. You decided to leave them be and go lay down on the couch for a bit until everything was done. You ended up falling asleep though, until Adam came to wake you up.

"Honey." He lightly shook you awake, your little girl in his other arm.

You sat up a bit, rubbing your eyes. "How long did I sleep?" You asked.

He glanced over at the clock. "Somewhere around 2 hours."

You nodded.

"Dinner is done now if you're ready to eat." Adam told you.

"Has she ate yet?" You asked him, sitting up fully.

"Yep, I fed her like 30 minutes ago." He answered, smiling.

You smiled back at your husband, standing up. You took your daughter from his arms. "You already got her to sleep too?"

"Yep." He said as you two walked to the kitchen.

When you got there, you placed the baby back in the bassinet. You went into Adam's embrace, laying your head on his chest.

"Thank you." You whispered quietly.

"Of course. You needed some rest."

"I really did." You said.

"Now c'mon, let's eat before she wakes up." Adam told you, sitting down at the table.
