The next day, we got a call from the hospital ."We need you come to the hospital right now!" My cousin and I rushed to the hospital.

When we get there, the doctor looked extremely upset. I knew what was coming. He said "I'm so sorry but we couldn't save your mom and your sister." I cried so much for the next few days. I kept repeating what the doctor had told me. I went to their funeral a week later and it was so unbearable.

A month passed and I got over it. thoughts of my sister and my mom always lingered in the back of my mind. I still had my necklace though. One day, I was sitting in my mom's room looking through old family photos when I heard something from the closet. I called Kyle and my dad to come check this out. We all went in and found a secret door! The door was a deep grey colour with a red rose painted right in the middle of it. I had seen that rose somewhere but I couldn't remember where. I tried the knob but it was locked. I gave up. I never stopped thinking about how familiar the rose looked.

A couple days later, I was looking in the mirror when I noticed the key around my neck. This was the first time I actually looked closely at it. It was a deep grey, with a small red rose on it. I ran to find the door. When I did, I put my the key in the lock. I turned it and the lock clicked. It worked!

I called Kyle and my dad and they came running. I opened the door and inside was a portal, swirling with purple and gold. We all stepped in, curious as to what was on the other side. We landed on soft grass. I looked around and found Kyle and dad lying one the grass a few feet away from me. I stood up and brushed off my jeans. I was in another dimension! A cow passed by me and it was so small! I definitely was ready to explore. I turned around and looked into the forest behind me. I could see the purple and gold portal waiting for us. Kyle got up and we all walked around for a bit. We all turned around and headed back towards the portal, not wanting to get lost.
