The more grateful I am,
the more beauty I see.

"You don't need to go out now. They're you're people, they're understand. You should rest more. Not a full blown week has passed since the battle."Chris insists as he sees me getting ready to go out. I've decided to go out to greet our people and see if they're lacking anything. Since the battle, a lot of things have changed. There's no more laughter, and happiness like it used to be. The kids are more reluctant to go out to play with each other, and their parents are more hesitant to allow them to do so. They're afraid that more dangers are lurking in the shadows. I may not have children myself, but I can only imagine the horror they must have experienced, fearing for their child's safety. With my visit, I want them to feel safer and more dependent on me. "It's just me going for a walk and greeting some people on the way. I'm not straining myself or anything like that. It will only do me more good than bad, rather than me sitting on a bed all day, doing nothing. You can join me if you want." I say, straightening my outfit.

With Chris by my side, we stroll through the busy streets, people waving and smiling at us. A little boy around the age of four runs to us, giving me a red rose, and then runs off. "I can't wait to have a mini-me and you running around!" I exclaim at Chris, already imagining what our little bundle of joy would like. Hopefully, he/she will resemble me even a little bit. But I want them to have Chris's strong personality. Chris is like no other I've ever met. He might be headstrong and a little bit ill-tempered, but he's the biggest teddy bear. He would do anything for the people he loves, and he's not afraid to express his love, even if it's only in the form of a hand squeeze. "When the time's right and we're blessed with a new life, both of us we'll be over the moon, won't we?" I ask Chris, still looking in the direction the little boy runs off. "You bet we will!"
"Let's go." Chris says, but as I'm about to step forward, I stumble a little bit. "Are you okay?" Chris says, worried. "Should we go back to the palace? We can continue another day when you're feeling better." He suggests. "I'm okay, don't worry. I just got dizzy for a second." As I'm about to start walking forwards, I fall to the ground. "I'm taking you back to the palace and to the doctor. I don't want to hear a single word." He says sternly. There's no point in changing his mind now. See what I mean? So headstrong! "Fine, but please don't say anything to anyone right now. We don't know what it is that's making light-headed, it might be nothing. I don't want to worry anyone without a logical reason." He nods, picking me up wedding style. I lay my head on his chest, letting his heartbeat nurse me to sleep.
"Wake up, love," Chris says as he brushes the hair out of my face. "We're at the pack doctors." It takes a second for my surroundings to settle, but indeed we are at the pack doctor's office. I sit up and stretch my body for a little bit. Just then, the doctor enters the room. "Luna, Alpha." He addresses us. We might not be an official Alpha King and Luna Queen yet, but everyone is calling us one. It all started after the battle and after I woke up. I think it has to do with the battle, and my guess is they felt we did everything to protect them and thus, a worthy Alpha King and Luna Queen. If that's the case, then I hope we'll be worthy of that title. I know we will try our best.
"How have you been feeling lately, Luna?" He asks. "Well, I've been feeling a bit nauseous lately, even the slightest scent can trigger me. I, also, feel tired all the time. No matter how much I rest, I wake up feeling drained. But that's about it." He doesn't say anything, he just gets up and leaves the room. He returns with a nurse "We will draw some blood, but while we wait for the results, I want to check something." We don't bother asking him. Already know how he is. It doesn't matter if he's certain, he won't say anything until it's fact-checked. When the nurse is drawn my blood, she brings a machine. "We will do an ultrasound and then we'll go from there." I don't have to be a doctor to know what the doctor is thinking. I think pregnancy is what he's suspecting. "If you can lift your shoulder, we shall begin." I lay back down, lifting my shirt just above my stomach. Chris stays by my side, holding my hand tightly in his own. "This might be cold."
As he's performing the ultrasound, I and Chris look at the little screen, trying to figure out what we're seeing. We're both clueless, though. "Are you seeing this little dot?" He asks, but we both look at him with confusion all over our faces. "Congratulations, you're going to be parents!"
Here comes the baby news!
I'm thrilled for the couple! I'm always over the moon when it comes to babies. They're just so cute!
