Chapter 2: Embrace

||8:27 p.m.||

The sun finally set. A crowd had gathered around to witness all the commotion. The sounds of scoffs and gasps could be heard. "Wouldn't except anything less from Ms.minaj", "wasn't that her boyfriend?", "did he cheat on her? ", "12 years huh?", "wait until tmz hears about this", etc. Was all that could be heard amongst the crowd. Tears dripped down from Nicki's face as cameras begin to flash at her. She hid her face and ran inside of her mansion. Sherika saddened as she hated to see her friend this way. She instructed security to clear away the commotion as she started behind her friend.

Nicki: I can't believe this shit!

Nicki runs into her room and falls before getting to her huge bathroom. She stands up and looks into the mirror and starts to sing..

Nicki: Sometimes I just look in the mirror and I be like why you?

She gently runs her hand down the girl who stares back at her. Mascara running down her now flushed cheeks. She picks up a flatiron and jabs it into the mirror.

Sherika: Nicki?.. *she calls out to her friend*

Sherika here's the sound of glass crashing to the floor and quickly runs into the bathroom to see Nicki holding onto the cabinet

Sherika: Nicki I'm..

Nicki: You know.. When we first got engaged.. I was young.. But I was happy. Happy to know that someone wanted to spend the rest of the life with my crazy ass.. But.. Maybe I'm meant to be alone Sher-*Nicki looks down to see Meek calling and instantly breaks down* I can't answer the phone like this Rika...

Sherika: Nicki look.. That's a sign from God baby. Safaree wasn't the one for you.. We live and we learn..but baby take the first step. Your future is waiting for you.. Give him a chance. Tell him what's going on.

Nicki turns to look at her phone and swipes it to answer the call. She dries her tears and takes a deep breath before saying hello.

Nicki: Hey Meek..

Meek: Nicki? Baby what's wrong?

She suddenly breakdowns and cries hysterically

Meek : Baby what happened?! Tell me what's wrong? Is it your mom? What happened?

Nicki: It's just so much.. And I feel so alone baby.. I really feel so alone

Meek: I'm on my way to you baby, just ask Sherika to stay with you until I get there. Okay baby?

Nicki: Okay *sniffs*

They disconnect and she turns to Sherika and hugs her

Sherika: It's okay baby, I'm here. What Meek say?

Nicki: He said he's on his way here..

Sherika : That's a real man Nicki.. That kid has some real hard feelings for you.

Nicki: I don't know.. What if-

Sherika : What if what? What If the sky turns orange? What if pigs start to fly? What if he's the one for you?
*She hands Nicki a tissue * Wake up baby girl. You gotta man flying Fr the East Coast.. Just to dry your tears.
As Nicki sits there to ponder this, Sherika helps her up and escorts her out of the messy bathroom

Sherika: Now let's get you cleaned up. I'll clean up the glass while you find something to wear. Can't have him thinking you bat shit crazy bitch. We ain't made it out of the 60 day rule
*Nicki and Sherika both bust out laughing *
