Snow. That was the first that thing hit (Y/n) as she opened her eyes. Her breaths steadied in the frigid air, puffs of pure white flowing to the dark, gray skies. A scream caught her ears and she sat up quickly.

"Goddamn it!" screeched a man. "Fuck you and your shitty society of Heroes and Villains! Fuck you! Fuck you and your whole family!" The man heaved in quivering breaths, shoulders shaking violently. He threw himself into a tree with another scream, madness in his hollow eyes. "You weren't supposed to come here, and because of you, now I'm stuck! I can't go back for another few years, you bitch!"

Snow crunched under the man's sneakers as he walked forward. He whipped out a knife and it gleamed dangerously under the falling snow. It was cold, so cold, yet (Y/n) wasn't sure if she could feel it or not. Her breath hitched as the man drove the knife forward. "I'll kill you!"

The man missed terribly. He relentlessly readjusted and swiped again. "I'll kill you and your whole fucking family!" Again. "You're gonna suffer!" Again. "It's your fault I'm here!" (Y/n)'s limbs felt like they would burst. Spots danced in her vision as she ducked and rolled out of the way. "S-stop...it...!" she cried. "I...don't want to...!"

"Kill me?" the man demanded. He grinned, and before (Y/n) could react, drove his gleaming knife into her abdomen. Her breath hitched, spots blaring in and out of her vision. The man bared his ugly teeth, yanking the knife out with an evil grin. "Do it bitch! Kill me! If you move, you're gonna pass out from blood loss!"

(Y/n)'s fingers twitched. She tapped her palm and activated her Quirk. The wound healed as the man drove his knife back down. Blood splattered against the pure snow, staining it a dark crimson. Was this it? Kai and Hari weren't around to save (Y/n). She was alone in some unknown place in the middle of nowhere. How foolish she was to think she could be strong in the face of adversary?

"You're so quiet for someone suffering." The man stabbed (Y/n) in the arm, twisting his knife ever so slowly. "Come on, bitch!" A scream left (Y/n)'s lips, running her throat raw and dry against the frigid air. With a pained gasp, she rolled onto her side and winced with a breathlessly. Everything burned more than accidentally touching a hot pan, or pouring hot water on your fingers.

Suck it up, (Y/n)! She gritted her teeth, raising a trembling hand. The man stamped a foot into the wound on her shoulder, grinding his foot into the bloody mess of broken flesh and skin and bone. A strangled scream broke through (Y/n)'s lips. The world blurred in and out as she caught the man's ankle with her free hand, fingers twitching, itching.

"You can't do shit," the man seethed. "Don't touch me with your bloody hands, you dirty bitch." Through the pain and through the world coated in yellow and orange spots, (Y/n) found it within herself to muster a glare so cold and dark the man halted.

Golden eyes like the sun, yet colder than the Arctic. The man shivered and his fingers trembled around the knife as if he were finally realising how cold it was. "What--what the fuck? You think--you think you can scare me?" the man shakily seethed. "All you're doing is wasting your energy!"
