Rashad wakes up and first thing he does is check his phone. His social medias were blowing up. Tags from tea pages with the same headline. "Rashad and Persephone Royal. Money-makers or Murderers?" Really? Rashad knew he wasn't a murder. Right? It was a reflex or accident maybe. But murder, he knew that he wasn't capable of that. He returned the 1,000+ missed calls from his attorney, manager, and PR team. Yeah, it was bad. The United States and Mexican law enforcement were looking for Persephone and Rashad. Apollo and Aphrodite were being detained and put in the custody of Rashad's mom.  Rashad has a conversation with his lawyer and followed his instructions. He wiped hus phone and destroyed his SIM card. He woke Persephone up and they bought two fake id's from a Mexican woman. Then, they hired a car to drive into Texas so they could turn themselves in.
"Rashad, are you sure this is the right thing to do?" Persephone asks. Rashad looked at her from the drivers seat and could tell she was worried. He had known her since high school, he knew when she was concerned. That's the same face Rashad saw when her father was in the hospital, right before his death.
"P, it's gonna be fine. My lawyer said the only evidence the prosecutors can find is the word of the Guard. They paid him to withdrawal his evidence so most likely the charges will be dropped and even if they aren't they have no evidence. Everything's gonna be fine." Rashad responds. Persephone immediately became less tense.
"What about us, Rashad? What about the kids?" Persephone asks.
"That's gonna be fine, too." Rashad responds. He leans over the middle console the kiss Persephone's forehead.
"RASHAD! LOOK OUT" Persephone shrieks. Then, everything flew. Glass cut Rashad's face and arms and airbags hit him in the face. He looked over and saw Persephone was going through the same thing. They were in the air for at least 15 seconds. They came crashing down after what felt like an eternity. The impact knocked Persephone out, but Rashad saw the outcome. Sparks flew from the other car they had hit. It looked an old car, maybe from the '70's or maybe the '80's. He climbed out the car to see the rental car in total shambles. The car doors had flew out and the airbags were flying in the wind. The roof was covered in skid marks and the gas was pouring out from the busted middle of the car. He saw smoke coming out the engine, then he connected the two. That car was about to blow up.
"PERSEPHONE!" he screamed. He forehead was bleeding, and she was knocked unconscious. He struggled to open her seatbelt. Her blonde hair was dark red, stained dark red with her blood. He finally got her body and dragged her out. He knew this was the first step. He took her body and carried her like a baby, cradling her in his arms. He ran from the crash site and he got about 20 feet when the car caught on fire. He picked up the speed at this point, knowing that fire would soon reach the gas. He ran as fast as he'd ever gone before, his adrenaline rush to a new-found level. He made it to the point where he felt he was safe, about 80 feet from the car. He even surprised himself, given the fact he ran that far in about 3 minutes. Just then, the entire car sparked and exploded, bursting and sputtering in flames. His muscle had just given out after he had just teared and ripped through them. He laid down and cradled Persephone's body. He stroked her curly, blonde hair. He could tell she was still alive, because he heard her heartbeat and saw her perfect breasts going up and down, to the rhythm of her deep breaths. Even unconscious, Persephone was perfect, in Rashad's eyes. Even though she had cheated, this would just be another hurdle they would have to jump to make their marriage stronger. He lays down and lays his head on a rock and looks at his surroundings. All he sees is a barren desert. With rocks and cactuses straight out of a western movie around him. He may have been hallucinating, but he definitely saw a wheelbarrow roll right in front of him. He feels Persephone's head move around in his attention back to her.
"Rashad? What happened?" she says in a faint voice.
"Nothing, P. Just rest." Rashad responds stroking her hair. Persephone falls back asleep and Rashad picks her up. His muscle-filled arms were covered in cuts and bruises, but the pain didn't bother him right now. He needed to get him and his wife out of this desert. He carries Persephone and starts walking aimlessly down the road. Again, unsure of what was to come.
