The soothing sound of the river rushing over the rocks relaxed Sage which was a nice change from the fast paced day they had just experienced. They reached into the river and reveled in the feeling of the water rushing through their fingers and the smooth stones, prodding into their chest grounding them once more. A chilly breeze washed over Sage causing them to shudder and pull their hand out of the water. They flipped over, turning to face the stars that decorated the dark night sky, illuminating it with specks of burning light. The moonlight was reflected in the river causing it to shimmer and the moonlight wrapped Sage in its embrace. Idyllic moments like these were the reason they were sane still.
They basked in the moonlight for a few minutes before getting up, brushing themself off as they did so. "I was wondering where you had run off to Kitten. Rather ironic I find you buy the boating river as cats are supposed to hate water. I guess you must be the exception." He chuckled in that deep voice that made Sage melt and crumble anytime he talked, even worse anytime he asked them to do something, Sage found themselves obeying despite the fact they wanted to claw his eyes out.
Hatred seeped through Sage's veins as they spun to face the asshole of the man who was adamant on calling them Kitten to their displeasure. Hector leaned against the tree with the same smug look on his perfect face. It seemed to beckon Sage to punch it.
After all why was it the cocky ones that looked hot af?
