Sanjh looked through the wide glass window of her hotel. The colorful stars were shining; not the twinkling stars in the sky, but the yellow, white, some even blue and red lights throughout the city. Her eyes were sparkling with all the glimmers of the city but more so with the overwhelming feelings.

The New York City, a place she has always seen in those travel explore channels on TV but to visit here was once in a lifetime opportunity for her and she didn't waste a single minute in deciding that this is the place where she wants to fulfill her dreams. Dreams that make you push out of your comfort zone but the result at the end is so divine!! The craving for that something divine is what she desires. She definitely knows what she wants.

It was 11 in the night and the city was super awake. She looked at the streets. The big towers and some short ones stood across the city. It was a dominating sight for her. The people walking on the pathways, the vehicles on the late night street, were making her nervous. It was as if nothing seemed to slow down here. She sighed. The least she wants right now is her overthinking brain to be hyper active. She turned towards her room and made her way towards the bed.

The company has arranged for her three-day stay in the hotel but soon, she needs to start her hunt for apartment. Her hotel room was no less than a five-star one. Even the cheapest hotels here are giving her an Ambani feel!! Her luggage sat at one corner of her room. The room was dimly lit but the lights of the city through the window gave her room a golden view. At the center was her bed where she was lying under her soft comforter. Near the glass window, there was a single sofa chair with a cute little round table. The washroom was situated next left to the entrance. There was a little closet attached to the wall. In front of the bed, was this giant led TV. The room was cozy and warm but she still missed the feeling of her home.

The day was tiring for her. She revisited the recent happenings. She was nervous throughout her 15 hours journey from New Delhi to New York. She landed at around 3 in the noon. The HR, Mr. David Kings was waiting for her at the airport. He was a fine gentleman in his late 40s. He welcomed her with a warm smile. She was in contact with him since she received the offer letter. He was so supportive of her. He even made sure to stay in contact with her family throughout this whole shifting thing. A sweet human!! She bought a SIM card on her way to hotel and waited no single second to call her family and inform them that she reached safely.

Her family, she missed them. It's been almost 2 days that she last saw them at the airport when they came to drop her. Her mother was a crying mess. Her father stood strong with a supportive smile but she knew how difficult it was for him to do so. Her younger sister, Saanvi was not her usual cheerful self. The only thing she said while hugging her tight was,"You have a poor fashion taste. Whenever you come back home, ask me on video calls what to buy and what not to. Kucch bhi utha kar mat laaiyo, Bandar." Sanjh laughed at the thought of her sister's words. Her family meant everything to her. She wants to do everything in her capability to make them happy.

She looked at the window. Her life has taken a curve and she wants to make that curve a beautiful one. From making memories to working hard, she wants to do all of them without fearing anyone's judgement. She want to become more confident about herself. She want to love herself more. She was onto a new journey and she wants to make the most out of it. With those thoughts, she went into a deep slumber waiting for the new day to begin. A day full of hopes, dreams and a lot of courage!!
