Ahkeel sat at the end of the stairs while his mother yelled at him from the top of them. He did live in a toxic family household with just himself and his parents. His mother was a drunk and his dad try to live through him, he was truly torn at his heart and there was no room for love wich made him a cold hearted person.

"Ahkeel you would never be nothing in life you just like yo damn daddy" his mother slurred out. Ahkeel had just about heard enough and he got up from the stairs and exited the apartment building. He didnt even have a specific destination in mind he just wanted to walk, he wanted to walk off the face of the earth honestly.

Nobody knew the battle he was going through at home, not even his homeboys he kept everything bottled up and never talked about it or anything of his problems. Ahkeel ended up walking up the block to the corner store.

"Hey ahkeel" Raniyah called out to him. He acknowledged her but didn't speak at all. He didnt like her because she was to loud and messy for him. A lot of girls threw themselves at him honestly but he didnt care for no female to really give them enough attention.

"boy you know you heard me with yo fine ass" Raniyah kept nagging. Ahkeel walked to the back of the store and got a drink then he came back to the front and grabbed some candy and threw his items on the counter for Raniyah to ring up. Ahkeel wasnt in the mood for her or her bullshit because of the day he was already having.

"yo can you please ring up my shit and do your job raniyah" he huffed. Just by all the stares she was giving him was making him grow irritated. What he didn't kno is that just by him knowing raniyah name made her more obsessed with him. And she had been obsessed with him for a while.

"how you know my name ahkeel" she asked him while smacking gum. "I dont i just read your name tag dummy" ahkeel spat out and grabbed his stuff and exited the store. He was now irritated but didnt want to go home so he walk to the lake and sat in the sand. He just vented to nobody specific and cried a little bit. He truly hated his life, he was a senior in high school that was depressed and living with his parents.

Ahkeel stood to his feel and dusted his pants abd turned around to start his walk back home. He didnt think no one else was at the lake then he see a pretty light skinned sitting on a towel staring at nothing. He wasnt the type of guy to approach a female just because so he just looked one time and kept walking.

He noticed she was crying the closer he got to her but he decided to mind his business and kept walking further away from the lake. He began to pick up his pace noticing that it was thunder indicating that it might rain. Ahkeel hated the rain because the thunder and lightning triggered his anxiety.

Ahkeel eventually made it home, he just went straight to his room not speaking to anyone. As soon as he laid in his bed he heard his room doir open but he just turned back over ignoring whoever it was. "Ahkeel you wanna eat something" his dad asked coming in his room. "nah pops im good" ahkeel responded.

That football coach called me back he say they got spots on the team, thats what yo ass need to be worried about. Hakeem, ahkeel's father said to him. " nah im good im not playing football i already told yall that" Ahkeel immediately said. "boy yo ass aint grown you in my house you dont talk back to me so whatever i tell you to do is what you gone do". His dad yelled back and slammed the door.

Ahkeel got deeper under the covers as the storm outside grew louder, he laid there with his eyes closed and fell asleep. The last thing he thought about before going to sleep was moving our or running away from home and to him any one of those options sounded good to him.

Ahkeel is a hurt soul which is why he was closed off and distant, he didn't want to hurt anybody so he just never got close to anybody or never let anyone close to him. He needed peace that he couldn't seem to find for himself. He longed for all his depression and his thoughts to go away but he knew they were there to stay.

        i never had nobody to take my pain away until i met you, but i kno you may leave me so that pain will come back
