Crystal isles book 1- danger in the shadows

"Hi! I'm Tori, Princess of the ice crystals! Now listen, and listen well!
I'm a Princess after all, you'd better show me respect. So anyway basically I'm pretty sure I overheard my mother, Queen of the ice crystals, say something about a couple of sea crystals coming to help me with my training in self defense and what not. But like, I can fight just fine! I don't need some slimy sea crystal teaching me how to do my job! It's not fair, she's not giving me a choice so now I have to wait for them to get here and wait for them to annoy me for who knows how long, UGH! All well, might as well get it done with."

The sea crystals are on their way, about two days out and I'm rather bored. It's hard to talk to anyone when everyone acts the same and say's the same things to you. Maybe the sea crystals won't be too bad, at least better than these mindless workers in the palace. Apparently the sea crystal that will be helping me is a sea crystal named jay, he's supposed to be really good at this stuff and they're hoping he can improve my abilities, I'll show them! I can defend myself just fine! I'm a Princess and not just any Princess but a Princess of the strongest kingdom on this continent! By the end of this Jay will be the one learning how to defend himself after I beat him into the ground!

"I'm two days away from the ice palace and the temperature here is getting colder, really cold."

I'm not used to this type of environment, I'm more of a safe ocean kind of guy, you know? I'm going to be teaching the Princess of the ice crystals known as Tori, I heard she's fierce, not much of a listener. Now I never wanted to teach her but her Queen requested for someone to help teach her since we are allies, and my Queen thought I was perfect for the job. Even though I don't want to, I'll make sure to make my Queen proud!

It's starting to rain so we are setting up camp for the night before it gets too cold. We are a days away from the palace, I can see it in the distance. It's known as the most beautiful palace on the continent, made entirely of marble and ice! It's a sight to behold.
While we were setting up camp we saw a couple flame crystal scouts around the area and I'm pretty sure they're in the ice crystals territory and I'm also pretty sure that they don't get along well.

We woke up early in the morning, we must not leave the Queen waiting. On the way there we kept seeing flame crystal scouts and small camps in the area, wonder why? Well whatever it's not my problem to solve, my job right now is to make it to the palace before I fall apart from the cold.

I can see their little army coming near the palace, a couple of wagons and men marching up here. I guess they don't trust us much with my new teacher, they are right to fear us! We are the mightiest of all, All kingdoms should tremble before our power! But also how rude! Aren't we allies?! What are they expecting, do they not trust us? How dare they! I wish they'd show us a little respect.

They entered the palace late at night. The moon shining brightly through the palace windows. Four guards and one average sea crystal, jay. He's taller than I am, he has short light blue hair and eyes like blue diamonds, he wears a dark blue royal suit like clothing. He's a lot different than I thought he would be. I was expecting a weak, nervous, clumsy, fish creature flopping into our kingdom, but he seems serious and more capable than I thought.

Jay
I see Tori amongst the ice crystals, she's smaller than I am and dressed better than the other ice crystals, she has long white hair and silver eyes, she wears a long white dress, she's covered in jewels all blue and purple. I see her looking dead at me, it's time to introduce myself. I walk up to her and bow slightly

"hello Princess Tori, I'll be your teacher for this time period."

Well that wasn't the best introduction I've heard but whatever. I walk him to the area where I must train my defense and offense, a big room made from stone, with targets, and weapons on the shelf's. Just a couple swords and bows, nothing impressive.
