Time and Time again

Sora paced around in his cold, dark, and lonely tower. Only the dimist of light came in from the window, and as he looked up at the night's sky, he could see the full view of his kingdom. Kingdom Hearts.

Everything was his. All of it was his.

He mutters words and curses under his breath, knowing it's not enough. What has he become? He was warned of his future, but how naive was he to think that future would never come? It came. It's now. Time was not a force to be reckoned with, and it wasn't to be taken lightly.

Everything was his. All of it was his.

Sora closed his eye and concentrated. As for his other eye? Well, there were many. Many different versions, all from the same master. It's what allowed him to locate all realities, but it also allows him to sees things he'd rather forget. He can't hear the other worlds, but for some reason, watching someone scream for their dear life will always leave him with the screams of his own friends stuck in his head. He hurt them. He destroyed them. All this pain, all of the world's screams and cries for help....

Everything was his. All of it was his.

He walks towards the dungeon, where he keeps his closest companions. He can't lose them. None of them. They were from HIS reality, and he's already seen versions of them be ripped apart before his very eye. He wouldn't ever let that happen to them. "You don't have to do this..." Kairi pleaded from her cell. She was his best friend. Always there when Sora needed it, and always went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. A true leader and ruler. Sora sighs. "We've gone through this discussion multiple times now. How much do I have to explain? I'm keeping you safe." He said sternly. It's not often he takes off his carefree facade, but when he was in his castle, he could do as he pleased. Nothing came in or out except for him. "Sora..." She sighed, "I know it's hard, but you can't keep going on like this." Sora scoffed. "I can and I will. I know all and see all. I am the Master of Masters after all, and I can do as I please. I don't need you interfering with powers you don't understand." He watched her sea blue eyes narrow in dissatisfaction. "Then you aren't the Sora I used to know. I'd rather die than see you make this mistake." Kairi crossed her arms stubbornly. "Again, you've said that multiple times now, yet here we are." Sora continued to walk through the maze of cells. "You again." Riku grumbled, laying down in the corner. He was his lover, and his most valuable possession. This treasure was on that was truly irreplaceable, yet the two's bonds have gone broken beyond repair. "I see you are still unsatisfied. Tell me. I have all the world's power at my hand, and I've offered it all to you. Yet, you still refuse to look at me or call me your partner." "You aren't. Maybe once, but that was a long time ago." "A long time ago seems like yesterday to me." Sora chuckled at his own joke. Riku didn't seem to find it funny. "Interesting how you have everything, yet you have nothing at the same time." He said. "I have nothing because I don't have you. What must I do to please you?" "Stop this nonsense. Give up this burden so you can be you again. Please..." "And that, my dearly beloved, is the only thing I can not do." He said, looking away. "And why is that!? Is it because you can't, or because you don't want to?" Riku questions. Sora snapped his fingers, creating a black cloak that covered his body. "Because I am the Master of Masters, and it's my job to save and protect the true reality. I'm not about to give up on the worlds just for you." The master growled, walking away angrily. "Then why do you always return here then!" Riku shouted after him. "You always leave mad, but you always return. I know you don't want this!" He tried. The silverette knew very well that Sora was still in there somewhere... and the truth is, Riku still loved him. But he couldn't see him like this. No, he wouldn't allow him to suffer like this more then he had to.

Everything was his. All of it was his.

And yet, he still had nothing at all.
