Hopeless
© 2017 by J. Krebaum
I'm all on my own
Challenges come and go
Nothing's as simple as it seems
When looking for a way to succeed
But there is no hope at all
There is no hope
That I could do better
That I would do better
But I could do worse
There is no hope
That I could do better
But I must do better
Or I will get worse
Facing the future
My education uninsured
When I try to learn something
I black out from my anxiety
Thinking there is no hope at all
There is no hope
That I can do better
That I will do better
Before I get worse
There is no hope
That I can do better
But I must do better
Or I will get worse
Or I will get my feelings hurt
Before my stomach starts to burn
There is no rope to break my fall
There is no hope
But I can do better
And I will do better
Before I get worse
There is no hope
But I can do better
Still I must do better
Or I will get worse
