I just sat back on my chair defeated as my so called parents left my cabin.

Why is it always me?

I just sat there with my head in my palms while bawling my eyes out.

An hour earlier

"Our talk was incomplete, you need to know everything. We are coming to your office."
Dad said and hung up.

What the hell is their problem?

Ignoring them I sat on my chair and continued working while they suddenly barged in my cabin.

"Do you even know what will you lose if you keep this so called love affair of yours going on." Dad said and I rolled my eyes.

"No, I don't." I said and he laughed.

"This is the contract that was signed between Das and Datta's which you were not aware of." He said throwing a file on my table.

"Tell me in short. I'm really not interested in dragging this conversation. Because I am sure, you are losing a lot of money if I leave him."
I said irritated.

"Not me darling, you." He said pointing at me and I looked at him confused.

"I don't have any money to lose." I said sitting down on my chair and they both took a seat before me.

"You know we handed our company to Shlok only after making a deal that we will recieve 60% profits to which they agreed." He said and I nodded.

Expected from them.

"The contract says, if there is any divorce you will have to pay him back all of the profits he handed to us in whatever time you are married if the company still belongs to him." He said and I looked at him shocked.

"What? But the profits were never mine to start with?" I yelled confused.

"The contract has it, Naira. How much ever you yell it is not going to change." He said.

"You know the profits are uncountable. You'll be in debt to him for your life if you decide to return the profits to him!" He said and I just stood there shell shocked.

What the fuck is he saying?

"And we will also lose the company and all the properties and assets that belong to Datta Industries. Only the personal properties will be left which is our home. Basically we will lose everything and get bankrupt." Mom said sighing.

"Did you even think before making such deals?" I yelled throwing the file away.

"That is not all." Dad said and I took in a deep breath for him to continue.

"The house in Goa, where your Dadi stays comes under Datta industries property. It is not a personal property." He said and I stood there with wide eyes.

"You— you cannot be serious?" I said stammering as I could not believe my ears.

"Unfortunately, they won't have a house to stay." He said and I closed my eyes trying to control my tears.
