''So why exactly are we checking on the mines?'' Starscream asked Megatron. 

''Because they have to know what is going on, also we will take everyone who isn't needed with us back to the Nemesis. As we need all troops, as the ones on our ship have died.'' Megatron answers his question. And Starscream just nodded, they had to go to 404 different mines to check on all the Decepticons working in the mines.  

''Well, one thing for sure. This will take fragging long.'' Starscream said trying to make a joke, to his suprise Megatron actually smiled. He didn't laugh, but it was better than first. 

''We can do about 50 mines a day so it will take a week at most.'' The leader of the Decepticons said to his second on command. 

''That isn't so long.'' Starscream replied a bit relieved. Just then they arrived at the first mine. 

''Lord Megatron, commander Starscream.'' The Vehicon guard said to them. 

''What are you doing here?'' He continued to ask. 

''The humans have turned against all of us, we now work together with the Autobots. Any troops you can spare have to return to the Nemesis, also if you see Quintessons don't trust them. They are the cause of all this.'' Megatron explained. 

''Understoof, everyone we can miss come here. We have new orders from lord Megatron.'' The guard called. And Megatron called Soundwave to bridge them all back. After doing this for the rest of the day Megatron decided to rest for a while, especially since Starscream's wing threatend to crack under the pressure. 

''Let's take a break.'' Megatron said as he transformed and landed. 

''Finally, my wings started to hurt.'' Starscream said relieved. 

''I know, that is why we stopped.'' Megatron said much to Starscream's suprise. 

''No matter what happens, I am glad that I served under you Megatron.'' Starscream said. 

''Do you know why I truly kept you around, even though you always tried to overthrow me?'' Megatron suddenly asked. 

''Because it was amusing?'' Starscream guessed. 

''No, because I simply couldn't kill you. Trust me I tried, but I could never manage it.'' Megatron reveals. 

''Now rest, you need it.'' And Starscream went into recharge with Megatron watching over him. The next day Starscream woke up early, only to find that Megatron was leaning on a tree sipping on a cube of Energon. 

''Where did you get that?'' Starscream asked curious. 

''I got it from the last mine we went to, do you want one as well?'' Megatron asked. 

''Yeah sure, that is nice of them.'' The air commander said. 

''Yeah, because we hurried yesterday. We only have one mine to go.'' The ex-gladiator said. 

''Then why didn't we do it yesterday.'' Starscream asked angry and confused. 

''Because your wings would have cracked, if that is the cost then I would rather wait a day. Now let's go.'' Megatron said as he transformed and flew away. With Starscream right behind him, deep in thoughts. When they arrived at the mines they saw that everything was destroyed, only one miner was alive. But barely. 

''Quickly comm Knockout to get med-bay ready and tell Soundwave to bridge us there immedeatly.'' Megatron ordered Starscream. 

''What happened?'' he then asked the miner. 

''The Quintessons attacked, all of the Energon is destroyed and everyone is dead.'' The miner answered in pain, then a spacebridge opened and Starscream confirmed that it was theirs. So Megatron picked up the miner and carried him through the spacebridge. 

''Lay him down on the table.'' Ratchet quickly ordered and so Megatron did. 

''Leave us.'' Knockout said, as he send everyone except him, Ratchet and Breakdown out. 

''Is everyone back?'' Megatron asked Ultra Magnus who happened to stand there. 

''Yes, you were the last.'' Ultra Magnus said. 

''Then call everyone on this ship to the bridge, we have to make a plan.'' Megatron said darkly.
