Elaine was drenched in the rain. The weather in Yashiori Island was harsh, as if thousands of soldiers were stomping around. She couldn't even tell what time it was since the dark clouds covered the skies. Her clothes had stains of blood here and there. She fought off the Nobushi that was in her path. It took a while to dispose of them but fortunately, in the end, she won the game of life and death.

The lady was eager to get to Fort Fujitou, almost running endlessly in the harsh weather. Ever since she started her trip, she didn't stop for a meal or a quick nap. She needed to get to him.

To Elaine's surprise, she didn't expect that she'd be running around Inazuma just to look for the poet. She spent the past year neglecting anything that reminded her of Kazuha. And now look at her, hopelessly pursuing him like a puppy. Of course, she hated to admit that she truly does care for him...

She halted.

"Great!" Elaine said as she observed a hilichurl camp. Monsters were scattered near the bridge to the other side of the island — to Fort Fujitou. She was mere seconds away from her destination, but an obstacle stopped her.

Elaine had to go through them. "You can do this," Elaine said as she sheathed her blade. She sprinted to the group of hilichurls and slashed her sword onto two of them. After, she stabbed through a hilichurl's chest and pulled her sword out. Elaine sensed that there was something about to attack her from behind, so she sprinted away.

Click, clang! Her sword hit a larger hilichurl's axe. Elaine struggled to win over the mitachurl. The axe was close to chopping her head off, she was in a life threatening situation!

Her breath sharpened.

She heard stomps behind her back, it clearly is another hilichurl about to attack her. She was praying to the Archons. Please, don't let me die now. Elaine couldn't think of a solution. She just couldn't. Her head was full of thoughts of panic and fear engulfed around. Her hands could barely stop the axe from cutting her anymore. She was dead for sure. Her heart palpitated and her eyes were starting to tear.

Then, she suddenly remembered something.

The sea's song rang in her ears and the birds cried. They stood before the Shogun's statue. Several scarlet leaves fell onto the green grass — Kazuha spoke, "If fate does ever let us meet again, can I trust you to find me first?"

She scoffed mentally. I really hate him. She thought. Elaine breathed in and spoke, "I said I couldn't promise that but..."

"I'll make sure I'll get to you first!" Elaine exclaimed, she crouched down and slid to her left. The mitachurl with the axe killed its comrade. Quite the brutal death. Elaine started to summon water around her sword, she swung back her blade and chopped its head off, cleanly.
