"Oh, Hi," the young boy spoke. Toji tried to smile at his son but ended up looking constipated. You crouched down, opening your arms, inviting Megumi to a hug. He walked over to you and accepted your hug. His hair poked the sides of your cheek. You were never particularly close to the boy, so you were surprised when he accepted your hug. Satoru chuckled as Toji grumbled.
"Tell me, Megumi, how have you been," Toji glared down at you. "Fine," he answered coldly. He pulled away from you and stood next to his father. Standing together, you were able to see their similarities. Megumi looked exactly like his father, from his eye color to his face shape, even down to his RBF. Toji opened his hand and slightly smiled at his son. Megumi hesitantly took his father's hand.
"Sato, have you explained to Megumi what's going on?" you questioned the white-haired man. "Nope, I totally forgot," he turned to Megumi, "Kiddo, you're out; moving back with your father... Oh, and Y/n." Gojo tossed a bag with Megumi's stuff at him. Toji grabbed the bag, throwing the strap over his shoulder. "Ok," Megumi responded with one of his classic one-word answers.
You pulled Satoru to the side, so you two could speak privately. Reaching into your purse, you grabbed an envelope. You handed him an envelope with the cash, but he pushed it away. "Y/n, I could never take money from you. I get your trying to help Toji, so keep the money," he paused, taking his mask off so you could see him, "I can't possibly understand why you would help a man like him, but I'll always stand by you." "I'm just doing what's right, Sato," you smiled at him, "Toji's been there to help me, so I want to help him." Gojo places his hands on your shoulders, looking down at you. "You really haven't changed," he smiled.
"Nope, not one bit," you pulled your friend into a hug. You can't remember the last time you had a genuine conversation with Sato. The great thing about you and Gojo was that no matter how long you went without talking to each other, nothing would change between the two of you. You could always go to Sato if you needed to, and he could do the same with you. Satoru Gojo was your best friend, and nothing would ever change that. "You're truly the best, Sato," you spoke, your voice muffled by Gojo's shirt.
"I know," he scoffed. You pulled away from him and lightly slapped him on the shoulder. "Way to ruin the moment." "Hey, I'm not into that mushy shit," he crossed his arms.
"Really? Because you seemed to have started it," you began to walk over to Toji and Megumi. You stopped in your tracks once you noticed them sitting on the floor, just chatting. Toji stared admirably at his son as Megumi babbled about something that seemed to excite him. You stood there watching, Gojo behind you.
"Just take care of him, ok?" Satoru placed his hand on your shoulder.
"Of course, Sato," You looked back at the man. As you walked over to Megumi, two little puppies ran over to the boy's side. "Oh my god, they're so cute. What breed are they." You sat on the floor with them. Both of the dogs began to sniff you and Toji aggressively, probably smelling the cat hair on your clothes.
