It wasn't often that the boys were allowed a break, let alone a break that lasted this long. So when they were told that they would have two months, they all looked at each other with big wide eyes.
"Two months? Are you sure you didn't misread your paper or something?" the leader asked. Two entire months with no practice, fan meetings, concerts, meetings or recordings? They just couldn't believe it.
"Yes I'm sure. You guys have been working really hard for the past few months and you deserve a break."
They were going to have to wait 3 weeks before the beginning of their break, and they had a week to decide where they wanted to go, if they wanted to go home for the entire break or just for a few days.
They thought hard about this. They did want to go home and see their families at some point, but they also wanted to spend some quality time together as friends and not as band members, far from the hustle of the city. They wanted to go somewhere where they would be by themselves, far from the fame, far from anyone who might recognize them, if that was possible. They loved their fans, more than anything else, but it was very tiring to have to maintain a certain image, and the lack of privacy was starting to get to them. They wanted nothing more but to go away for some time.
That's how they agreed on their destination. They looked for a small town, not too small so that there are still things to do but small enough to be full of people who wouldn't recognize them or at least the minimum: Damyang.
When they announced their break, many fans were actually happy that they were finally resting, but a lot of journalists tried to find out where they were going, which remained a mystery.
During their last week of work, the boys were excited. They had so much energy to give, knowing that they would be free for two months and that was felt during the last concert: they sang, danced, jumped, screamed and ran around like never before and all that for the pleasure of the fans.
"What do you guys want to do when we get there?" asked the eldest. His five band mates looked at him.
"I want to go hiking!"
"You're so predictable Namjoon Hyung. Are you planning to visit every single museum as well?"
"At least I'm cultivated Taehyung-ah. And to answer your question, there is only one museum that town so yes, I'm planning to visit it."
"I just want to lay around, take a walk and eat peacefully outside or at a restaurant."
Jimin was the calmest among the group. He liked to joke around but he was usually the one to break fights and was often the responsible one, not like Namjoon who, despite was the fans thought, was just as bad as Taehyung sometimes.
That's how he found himself at the police station on their very first day of break with Taehyung who had, once more, lost his passport AND I.D.
"I swear to God Tae, you need to be more careful with your things, especially such important papers."
"I know, you say that every time, but you know it's probably going to happen again in the future, seeing how forgetful I am."
"Right..."
They spent an hour filling papers so that the youngest would receive his papers before going back to their home for the next two months. On their way home, they crossed a small delivery truck, parked right outside their gate.
"Aish these hyungs... It has been a whole day yet and they already ordered food". shaking his head, Jimin got out of the car, followed by Taehyung. Once inside the house, they found Yoongi talking with a woman. He smiled brightly once he saw his dongsaengs.
"Ah! You guys are back! We ordered food at this cute restaurant. It seemed very good and the lady is so nice!"
"Aish thank you young man, you're too kind. You can call me Miyoung. I hope to see you soon at the restaurant!"
"Thank you for delivering the food! We will definitely come and see you and your son next time!"
All three of them bowed before Miyoung left.
Jimin looked at Yoongi. "Her son?"
"Yeah" he smiled "she told me about him and how hardworking he is. She said that now that there are more people his age we should get to know each other so that he can go out more. I don't think she knows who we are, but anyway. She showed me a picture of the boy and I have to say, he is really good looking, like handsome as hell. She said he was very shy and soft but it's really hard to believe, he looked so tough in the picture with his piercings and tattoos."
"Already have a crush Yoongi Hyung? that was really fast."
"Oh shut up Taehyung-ah, once you see him you'll think the same thing, you too Jimin-ah."
"I'm not gay Hyung.."
"Jimin, you don't have to be gay to find another man attractive. Plus, you said so yourself, you're not even sure if you're straight or anything else, so stop contradicting yourself and let's go eat, I'm hungry."
During their lunch, Jimin kept thinking about what Yoongi had said. It was true that he didn't know which gender he liked. He had never experienced anything with a boy. His group members had asked him if he wanted one of them to kiss and see if he felt anything but he refused. Even if he wasn't sure of his sexuality, he for sure didn't want to kiss any of them, they were like his brothers and it seemed just wrong. But he was still curious about what it would be like to kiss another man. Maybe if the boy Yoongi talked about was that handsome he would feel something, any type of attraction towards him. Hopefully he'll get to know by the end of their vacation.
