Zombie story

Chapter 1

" So Suzu What you doing at the weekend ? I shrugged to my friend Moe just as our teacher shuffled into the room . He didn't look too well but I waited for a fellow classmate to speak up . " S...sir are you alright ? Kenji, the class teacher's pet, spoke on behalf of the rest of us  . Our teacher glanced at us then grunted . Which is when Zed, the captain of the basketball team, walked over to him slowly . " Seriously sir you look like crap "

Seconds later the teacher snapped his hand out and grabbed Zed's shirt . Everyone in the room seemed shocked as we watched what was happening . Our teacher seemed to be trying to bite Zed . None of us had a clue what to do . Zed was struggling to escape his grip .

Everyone in the room was freaking out . Members of the basketball team rushed over to help their captain . Their effort finally paid off when they managed to pull Zed to safety . Which left the rest of us students watching , waiting for what was to happen next .

Our teacher let out a grunt and started walking closer to the Basketball boys . which is when everyone in the room panicked and started causing a commotion . Some ran out of the room while others watched in horror .

" Get to safety now " Zed shouted across the room to everyone . None of them seemed to listen so he instructed his team to protect them . Me and Moe just stood at the back of the room unsure of what to do . " I then felt a hand wrap around mine . When i looked up i saw Zed was smiling . " We should get out of here " I slowly nodded . It was almost as if i had not yet relised that i was actually in the middle of this situation .

Zed grabbed mine and Moe's hand and practically dragged us out of the room . Wich is when we saw that everything seemed worse outside the classroom . People running around screaming . While others freaked out about what was happening .

We followed Zed to the end of the hall where a bunch of students were trying to break a door down . It seemed to be stuck . So Zed started kicking it and trying to break it open . Wich is when I first saw them . At the end of the hall was a bunch of teachers and students all stumbling towards us . They all had blood somewhere on their clothes .

One of the other students trying to get out the door recognised one of the stumbling people so called out to them . But there was no response . Which is when they started crying and fell to the floor .

" Piece of fucking crap ! Zed was still trying to open the door . The figures we getting closer . Moe was shaking and practically hugging my arm .

Then I got an idea in my head so I pushed my friend away and walked over to the door while talking a hair slide out of my hair . As I slid the small bit of metal into the lock Zed patted my shoulder . " nice one " I shrugged and seconds later the door swung open .

Everyone then ran down the hall . When we got to then end their was a staircase but there was another bunch of zombie like people walking up them . " The fire escape " We all nodded as Zed pointed to the best exited .

From where we were stood on the fire escape we could see what was happening outside . The city was a complete mess . Fires dotted around , the sound of car horns and alarms . Screams from in the distance followed by a faint sound of moaning .

" We should get going , find somewhere safe " Everyone started walking down the fire escape while I stood watching over the city . " Suzu " I nodded slowly and followed everyone "

On the ground everything looked worse . The body's that weren't fighting back littered the floor . Some people even jumped out of the building . I suppose it's because they would rather die that being eaten alive .

For a while now I've been going through some stuff no one knows not even Moe and she's my best friend . But as I watched the scene unfold before be I noticed Zed look at me as if he knew something .

Suddenly we heard a noise and looked across the year to see someone othe the other basketball team members and other students trying to fight of the dead . Zed looked at all of us the ran over to help . The rest of us watched before about half ran after him to lend a hand .

All though I wanted to help Moe was still clinging to me so I didn't . So we just watched . When everyone had a chance we ran to one of the school buses . But when we got there a zombie walked out from behind the bus and tried to grab Zed but i shoved him out the way . As a result he now had my hand in his . The dead thing squeezed my arms and I cleanched my eyes shut . Zed watched in shock before he tried to free my arm .

As the zombie finally let go it ripped part of my shirt and the bandage I had on my wrist . Zed finish it of and smashed its head in then turned to me . He looked me in the eyes and grabbed my arm . So I glared at him but all he did was take his school tie of and wrap it around my wrist . Then smiled at me .

Everyone was already on the bus and hadn't seen what had happened apart from Zed smashing up the zombie .

Knowing that someone knew about my arms felt weird . For a while now I'd felt like I couldn't trust anyone but I don't know maybe the apocalypse will be a good thing .
