Chapter Nineteen

I went to my mom's house to pick up a bunch of stuff and clean it out. While I was going through her room, I found a letter. It was for me.

I opened the envelope and with shaky hands I took the paper out.

Dear Caroline; my sunshine,
I love you with all that I have within me, you are my life. I still remember the day you were born, sure it hurt but it certainly is the best day of my life. I know you're hurting right now but someday, your heart will heal and just know I'm watching your from up above.

You deserve the world and so much more, never lose sight of that. I'm so sorry that I had to leave you so soon but if I could live forever, I would. You're strong Care, you can handle life without me. I know you'll get through this.

All I could do was sit on the floor and scream. Why'd it have to hurt so much? I had this pain in my heart and it feels that it'll never heal.

I heard a knock on the door, I ran downstairs and Tyler was standing at my mother's door. I didn't know if I should open the door, but he looked harmless. He was smiling at me but still something felt wrong.

I opened the door.

"Hey Tyl-" I felt this pain shoot through my body.

He staked me.

"I'm sorry I had to do this but I'm only saving you," he said as he laid me on the ground.

The air left my body.
