Chapter 2

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Was all I heard before a flurry of activity surrounded me and hearing someone shout to keep me stabilized. My eyes snapped open and I saw doctors and nurses leaning over me trying to put something over me to keep me down, that's when I panicked and started flailing. I managed to escape them and scurry out the door I ran letting my instincts guide me blindly, I dodged other doctors and nurses trying to catch me I burst through the doors and noticed that I was outside I slowed a little and passed a pond noticing that I was wearing clothes for the first time. Then I heard the doors open behind me and shouting before I started running again, I ran and weaved behind building but still couldn't shake them off. I burst into a clearing which I then realized was a track and went running for the person standing in the middle of five other people with their backs turned. I got closer before I leapt onto their back with the male only letting out a soft grunt before turning to the commotion behind them when the doctors and nurses burst into the clearing. I hid my head against the back of the male I had jumped onto. "What is the meaning of all this ruckus and who dares to interrupt this training?!" Shouted the person I was clinging onto. "Sorry sir she managed to escape the infirmary and she hasn't been cleared and was going into shock when she went berserk." The man I was clinging onto started laughing and gently pulled me off him. " Well that is expected with a Callahan." He stated. The doctors and nurses just gawked as I peeked out from around the older version of a male me. "Well Jedediah it seems you have a little mini you but a girl one at that, who is she anyways?" One of the other males that was with my uncle asked. "This is my niece Brittany and she takes after Sargent Callahan in temper and looks while she just looks like my nephew." I then saw the stunned faces of the doctors and nurses before they started to turn around and leave and then the head doctor shouted at my uncle to just deal with me and not let me anywhere near the infirmary again. I giggled before turning back to my uncle and hugged him very tightly. One of the other trainers dismissed the soldiers and led us to the cafeteria where the higher ranks were eating.
