a very tired mother..
You awoke in the middle of the night, startled by your child's cries from across the room; you rubbed your eyes and yawned a little
Your husband was sleeping with his arms around your waist. He really misses you. You slowly take his arms from your waist, then move the cover away from your body, placing the pillow next to him so he doesn't know. He hugged the pillow, believing it to be you
You walked tiredly, entering and closing the door silently. grabbing a candle from a tiny table and raise it up to see what's there
You go to your child's room to find out what happened, and you gently open the door. You peek your head in, and you simply saw since you are really worried
(C/n) were sat on their bed, sobbing, cradling their soft toy to their chest, a blanket wrapped around their body
you opening the door widely,rushing to them, hugging them
"sweetie what happend?" you comforted them by caressing their backs, and they sobbed into your clothes, clutching you tightly. They were stumbling over their words
"n..nighmare!its scary i saw a ghost..im scared mommy..!" they said feeling so scared
You tried to comfort them once more by kissing the top of their heads and hugging them and saying it's all right. But they continued to sob, their body trembled, and you sighed deeply, unsure what to do, thinking you were a bad mother for failing to comfort their own child. This makes you feel anxious
"its okay..the ghost wasnt real.. i promise everything is gonna be alright.." You whisper to them again and gently smooth their hair
Oh, you're tired and need to sleep,
You were trying hard not to fall asleep. You're worried about your husband and your child
Out the sudden, The door opening,you acidenlly scream little though it was ghost when it was your husband who look very worried about you just gone from him,you sigh its just him.He was confused when he saw you in this room
"Wait..what.. just happened?" he stated
He soon realised what had just happend. He approached you guys, crouching down to view his child, who was terrified from a nightmare.He had an idea
"May I holf them?" He asks in hushed tones, and you nod, allowing him to pick them up
he hold them under their armpit,picking them up. he raise them little up,they look like bright star he smile at them dearly.the child didnt sobbing again but still sad
"You are my sunshine"
He begins singing a lullaby
"My only sunshine"
"You make me happy"
He gently moves from side to side, spinning them around slowly
"When skies are gray"
"You'll never know, dear"
The child's face slowly changed from sad to pleased. You see them being happy with each other. You were happy that he did really great job as father
"How much I love you"
He stopped spinning them around once,they yawned tiredly and spread their small tiny arms a little. He placed them on the bed gently
"Please don't take my sunshine away.."
He draped a lovely blanket over them, watching them sleep peacefully and quietly snoring. you pat their hand with a tired smile. You suddenly become more exhausted and are on the verge of falling to the floor, but he is lucky enough to catch you in time
"Dear, are you okay?" He questioned with concern
He noticed that you were sleeping when he looked at your face
He picks you up in bridal style, delicately holds you, and walks out of the room, silently closing the door with his foot. He carries you to your guys room. He placed you on the bed and covered you with a blanket, kissing your forehead,letting you sleep
