Working in her house gave me a sense of what Em wanted her house to be. She had picked simple colors and patterns and they blended smoothly together. She didnt have big crazy designs but rather 'simple is beautiful" approach

Sophies room was all but finished we just needed to get the furniture in. Emilys room was nearly tore down and we knew her electric and plumbing were good for at least a while. Her kitchen was a work in progress and marcus had pretty much finished the outside. She had nearly everything at her place already and the little that she didn't we could get at the store in the next town over.

Now that she was at work we could get this done a lot faster. If she thought we were fast before she should see us now that we could use our wolves' strength to move faster and lift things that would have taken 2 or 3 of us before.

Keeping this a secret from her was a challenge especially on the way to her mom's house. I think she knew something was up, but I'm not sure why she was so sad looking. I kept running it back in my head to see if I had offended her somehow.

"Hey Eli what are we doing here? Josh called from the small bathroom where he had been working on putting in a new shower wall.

"What do you think? Do we leave it like this or is there more you think needs to be touched? You're the plumber man..."

"Yeah, plumbing! not doing the pretty work. You're the one who has any idea what she'll want." he said

"Well ive known her all of 2 days dude. I dunno leave it like this and if theres something else she wants don me and her can get it done." i say throwing my hands up. "Lets wrap up the rest of the house then bring the rest of her stuff over here from her moms and storage and end the night strong before she gets off work..."

Sounds like a plan ill go help ben in the kitchen and get those cupboards and counters fixed up then i think were pretty much done with labor last thing would be paint and furniture and decorating and shit..."

We head out just in time to hear marcus saying that they were finished.

"Man we fucking rocked this house! Yo eli next time you want us to bust balls for your mate you better pay up, this was some shit dude" ben joked punching my arm

"Oh please its not like you had anything better to be doing. Plus like you said this was for Emily so it will mean alot to her. This is all shes done since she got here 2 months ago."

"To her credit she did have a fair bit done we all know what this house was like. Plus lara will owe us for fixing her place up so damn nice!"

"Very good point yall go bug her im going to et Emilys mom over here to see if she knows how she wanted it painted. Thanks you guys. Seriously"

They said their good byes and i shot Emily a text

{hey hows work} and not a minute later i get a reply

{its not too bad gonna sleep good tonight though! Im tired Lol}

{yeah me too. What time r u off} i cross my fingers and hope ive still got at least 2 hours.

{off at 7} perfect that gives me 3 hours to get a bit more done here. I text her back {only 3 hours left you got this}

I jump in the jeep and head off the rhondas to get her input on painting and furniture.

7 minutes later im knocking on the door and i her her dog bark like mad. I roll my eyes dogs tended to overreact when we were around.

Then from inside the house i hear "rascal shush. Go lay down." and the door opens and she smiles kindly
