"Eliza, Lilly come down here we have a surprise for you." Addison called from the bottom of the stairs. "Coming." Eliza yelled as she ran downstairs. "Liza wait up." Lilly called running after her big sister. Derek and Eliza headed outside but Addison waited for her daughter. "Liza doesn't wait for me." Lilly said pouting. "I know I know." Addison said scooping her daughter into her arms. Standing in the driveway where Meredith, Izzy, and George but they had a special furry friend with them. "OH MY GOSH WERE GETTING A DOG." Eliza said running towards the dog. "Woah quick to jump to conclusions but yes we are." Derek said laughing at the little girl. "Lilly what do you think." Addison asked the girl. Lilly got shy and put her head on Addisons shoulder. "Don't be shy." Derek said rubbing her back.

"What's his name?" Eliza asked Meredith. Meredith took a breathe in, "his name is Doc. And he's a really good boy. He loves playing fetch and stealing your clothes so be careful." Meredith said bending down and petting the dog. "Is he your dog?" Eliza asked. "He was my dog but now he's going to be your dog." Meredith said to the wide eyed girl. Eliza nodded and smiled. "I like him." She said. Meredith stood up and handed a box of stuff to Derek, "here's his food, and favourite toys." She said. Derek smiled. "Come in girls let's go show Doc our house." Addison said leading Eliza inside with Doc.

"We'll give you some space." Izzy said leading George into the car leaving Meredith and Derek alone. "So-." "Don't." She said and got in the back seat and the car drove away. Derek rejoined his family inside.

"Look daddy." Eliza said, "doc rollover." The dog did as she asked and rolled onto its back with its paws up in the air. "Wow." He said. Addison sat on the couch with Lilly on her lap, "Lilly why don't you play with Doc." Derek asked bending down in front of her, "no." She said turning into Addisons chest, "Lillian." Addison said, softly turning her daughters face to her, "what's the matter?" She asked softly. "I'm scared." Lilly replied. "Darling there's nothing to be scared off. He's just a dog." Addison said rubbing her daughters cheek. "But what if he bites me?" She asked tears bubbling in her eyes. "He won't bite you, I promise." Derek said rubbing her back.
"Lilly's just being a baby." Eliza said. "Elizabeth." Her father scolded, "I'm not a baby." Lilly said sticking her tongue out at her sister. "Girls girls." Addison said, Lilly yawned. "It's been a long day let's get you two to bed. "No I want to stay and play with Doc." Eliza wined. "Fine 5 minutes but then I'm coming to get you." Addison said bringing Lilly upstairs.

The girls where hanging out at the hospital but this time they where together. "Liza I'm bored." Lilly said swinging her dangling legs. "We'll mom and dad told us to wait here for them." She said. The girls had been dropped off at the hospital by their nanny, it was late at night but something came up for the nanny. "But we've been waiting for houuuuurs." Lilly wined. "No we've been waiting for 10 minutes." Eliza said rolling her eyes at her impatient sister.

"Ready?" Derek asked Addison. "Yes!" She said. The two got into the elevator to go get their daughters. The doors pinged open and there they sat on the lobby benches. Their eyes flicked towards the elevator that just opened, revealing their parents. They got up and ran over to them, "momma."Lilly said jumping into Addisons arms, "hi baby." Addison said hugging her daughter. Eliza ran to Derek and crushed him in a hug, he picked her up. "Daddy." She giggled. The girls hadn't seen their parents since last night because they went to bed before their parents got home and the couple left for work before the girls woke up this morning. "You ready to go home?" Derek asked, Eliza nodded. The couple walked out each holding a daughter with one arm, and with the other their hands interlocked.

Richard stood with Adele at the desk and watched as the family left the hospital. "See I told you they'd work it out." Adele said to her husband.
