You were relieved lunch came. Scarlett and Quinn greeting you. "Oh thank god, She sighs of relief. "The fountain is free. I've never got the chance to sit here." You chuckled." Me either. Come on."

You and your friends sit on the fountain, before Tatum Riley herself approached Scarlett. "You stole our spot, She hissed. "Move." You roll your eyes, you liked Tatum, but she disliked Scarlett for some reason. Probably due to Scarlett disliking her.

"We were here first, Scarlett tells her, boldly. Sidney and her friends were behind her. Both Stu and Billy glared over to you. Something about them gave you weird vibes. "So? Tatum replies." We sit here for lunch every single fucking day."

Normally, Tatum would let it slide, but her worst enemy was sitting there. No way could she let it slide! Her mean side came out unintentionally. Quinn crossed his arms. "Just relax, Tatum." "yeah, Tate, Sidney pipes it."We could sit somewhere else."

Tatum scoffs, Stu, her boyfriend, comforting her while leaving. "Total snob, Scarlett muttered, sitting back down, eating her lunch. "She just had a bad day, You defend her. Quinn sighs. "She's only nice to you, because you're Sidney's sister. Not the outcasts like us."

You shook your head. "You're both being ridiculous. She's one of the nicer cheerleaders." Scarlett shook her head. "Trust me, (Y/N), She's hated my guts since middle school. I don't think it's due to having a bad day or something."

You rolled your eyes, continuing your lunch. Still, you weren't quite by yourselves. Reporters secretly took photos of you, which you noticed. So pretty much no privacy. You sighed. "This sucks. I have no more privacy."

"On the bright side, Quinn pipes in."You're famous now." You rolled your eyes."I didn't want this. I want to be normal again." Scarlett shook her head. "I mean, with your fame, you could become a cheerleader."

"Not really a athlete, You laughed. "Not that It would even matter." You sighed. Scarlett put her head on her boyfriend's shoulder. In your opinion, they were the perfect couple. Most of the people would say Tatum and Stu Macher, but not to you.

"(Y/N) Prescott!"

An annoying reporter approached you. Her eager smile bothered you. "Can you and your friends answer some questions for me? She asked. You shook your head. "Not interested."

"Please-"

"I said no! You interrupted, she looked dumbfounded, before leaving the scene. You sighed of relief, sitting back down. "Fifth reporter I rejected today, You frowned. Quinn chuckled. "Wow. You're becoming more famous than ever."

You groan. "I would rather be famous for something good, like movies or something." "They might make movies about this, Scarlett shrugged. You chuckle. "Possibly. Woodsboro is too boring so they'll change the name."

Quinn nods, eating his lunch. They were lucky sitting here. Most kids liked eating here. Throughout the day, you were harassed by reporters. Right now, no microphone in sight. You sighed of relief.

Quinn kissed Scarlett, You give them a disgusted look jokingly. "Seriously? right here!" Scarlett blushed. "Sorry, (y/n)." You smirked. "It's fine, just gross." Quinn shrugs. "You need a boyfriend for sure."

"I don't think so. Have you seen the guys? they're assholes."

"You mean the football guys."

"Oh yeah, sorry Quinn."

He nods, chuckling. Some of the football players tried to ask you out. But you knew well why they were. For fame, of course. So you declined. If you were yourself in freshmen year, maybe you would've naively accepted.

Not now. You weren't dumb.

You finished your lunch but since it wasn't over yet you had plenty of time. "So (y/n), how are you unfazed by how they talk about your mother? Scarlett asked.

"I know it isn't true, You reply. Knowing she referenced the reporters. "Simple as that. If I knew someone was innocent I wouldn't be fazed. Although in some situations I would be. "If your friend had been accused of murder, of course you would be. "Oh, Scarlett replied puzzled. "Seems Sidney is taking it hard."

You nod."I feel bad for her. But we've always been close until high school." "Why is that? Quinn asks curiously.

"We drifted into different friend groups I guess."

You didn't know exactly why you drifted from Sidney, in fact you tried to be closer with her but she shut you off. It hurt, of course but you just gave up. And her new friend group was cooler than you, it seemed. She used to be never home often and it was only until your mother died that she was home more.

You definitely missed her.

You sighed. "Well, kind of more than that. She just pretends like I don't exist anymore. Even when we're home." Sure, she talked to you when you were in the hospital, but only because she had to.

Mr. Prescott, your father, forced her to. It was definitely not by her own free will, you knew that for sure.

"It's going to be okay, Scarlett assured you."We all know it." You nodded."I hope so." Then all of a sudden, Tatum and Sidney's other friends come over.

"What do you want now Tatum? Scarlett asks. "That spot, She replies. "You're done with Lunch so why stay right there?"

"Uh, you're finished too."

Tatum rolled her eyes. This was getting ridiculous, they shouldn't even be beefing right now. "Calm down! You pipe in."Scarlett, just be nice or something." She huffed, while Tatum walked off once more.

Quinn smirked in satisfaction. "She usually doesn't go down without a fight." You nodded, it usually went with fighting. But not anymore. It was probably due to her boyfriend. You barely knew Stu, but he was funny.

Billy, your sister's boyfriend, you knew too well. He was such an asshole. But if you ever told Sidney how you felt, She'd never listen. You got a bad feeling about them both. But weren't open with them ever.

Not that anyone would listen.

You sighed, grabbing your backpack as the bell rings. You knew lunch was over, proceeding to go to class.
