SpringTrap shot up, throwing his covers off of his body and slamming his fist into his alarm clock, smashing it to pieces and making his desk crack jaggedly down the middle. He panted, beads of sweat dripping down his face; the alarm that woke him up had seemed much more like a tornado siren to him while he was having that strange dream, the one with the green haired lady talking to him- or at least trying to. Her voice was muddy, as if she was deep underwater and nowhere near breaking through the surface yet, so close. He didn’t have time to think about it though, he was going to be late if he dawdled around on the subject for any longer. SpringTrap hopped up and out of his bed and walked into the hallway, his sister’s room and his father’s room were both empty, they must be downstairs, he thought as he walked into the bathroom just at the end of the hall. He flicked the light switch to his left on and looked in the mirror on the wall opposite to the shower, the wolf ears upon his head twitched and his green eye was visible even through his bright green hair covering up most of his upper face. “I look like Jordan,” he said as he held his hair up, looking at the bags beneath his eye that resembled his former adoptive sister Jordan, “Come to think of it, her suspension ends today.” he said while brushing his teeth. “I wonder if she’ll get expelled next time.” He said as he spit into the sink and tapped the edge of his fangs, only present in his top row of teeth yet he still managed to prick his finger on one of them, causing it to bleed. “Crap- whatever, it’ll heal,” he said as he washed his mouth out and wrapped toilet paper around his bleeding finger using his teeth, “Wait, what-” he said as he brought his hand up to his left eye which was covered by a square black eye patch that had strings on all four corners holding it onto his face. He brought his hand up to his eye because there was a throbbing sensation that had been going on for who knows how long ‘how long has that been going on?’ he thought to himself as he considered removing it, but stopped. Something was telling him that removing the eyepatch would release something possibly dangerous, something that could hurt him, and his family downstairs. SpringTrap walked back to his room which was just at the top of his stairs and began to get dressed, he changed from his shorts into highly resistant black pants his aunt gave him that grow as he does and will always fit, (he still doesn’t know where she got them) and reached into his top dresser drawer for something. He searched around inside and pulled an object from the bottom of it, it was an arm, seventy percent of a left one in fact. SpringTrap pushed his left sleeve up, revealing his missing left arm, a trait he somehow shared with his father who had lost his arm years ago due to some unknown accident. Unknown to him at least, his father would never tell him what happened, all he knew is that it happened before he was born and before his father met his- “You coming?” a voice spoke in the doorway cutting off his thoughts and causing him to whip around and see his little sister standing in the doorway. “Dad heard you smash your alarm clock and crack your desk open like a walnut, he told me to come check on you and bring you downstairs.” SpringTrap smiled at his younger sister Kyada, she had long green hair and dark green eyes, always resembling someone familiar to SpringTrap but- he couldn’t exactly remember who. “Yeah, I’m coming! Just make sure you tell him that I don’t want burnt pieces of dough.” Kya rolled her eyes, “Yeah, yeah, just hurry and get ready.” Kya walked back down the stairs, closing SpringTrap’s door behind her as he rolled up his sleeve again and held it up with his teeth. “I hate this, every time.” he sighed, “Gaia be with me-” SpringTrap took the arm and roughly pushed it into his left arm and an electrical current shot through his body and he nearly fell to his knees as he groaned in agony. A pop and mechanical whirring was heard as the arm began to adjust itself and give SpringTrap control of it as it went from limp to fully functional. He opened and closed his fist, gears and locks in it moved around inside as he flexed his fingers and pushed his sleeve back down, threw on his black sweater and slipped his boots onto his feet and jumped down the stairs, landing on the floor with a loud thump. “ALRIGHT!!” he shouted out full of energy, signaling that he was fully awake to his father and sister who sat at the table eating, “You finally up?” Kya said, swallowing what she was chewing before, “Yup, and I’m ready to go, too!” he said, tying the laces on his boots that he always tripped on as his father stood up. He was a tall man, SpringTrap was just over half of his height and he was nearly six feet at only thirteen, his father however, was nine-foot one. He had mostly black hair except for a blue streak that ran right through the middle of his visible hair in the front that strangely turned green depending on where the light hit it. He had black eyes with somewhat of a hint of blue inside them that didn’t show a very cold soul despite their color but instead showed some sort of a misguided warmth. “You’re up quite late, maybe you should’ve checked the time.” he said, crossing his arms, evidently ticked off that SpringTrap had broken something else in the house just as a plate was sent flying right into his chest that was surrounded by purple electricity. “Oh, by the way,” Kya said with a mouthful of food that she soon swallowed, “Bonnie’s here.” SpringTrap looked up with the plate in his hand and a girl with long purple hair, an eyepatch, and the features of a gray wolf, just like SpringTrap, walked out from in the kitchen with her hand smoking from whipping the plate of food at SpringTrap using her powers. “What’s up?” she said and she closed her fist, extinguishing the smoke, “Bonnie? You’re here- so early in the morning- again-” SpringTrap awkwardly smiled, he didn’t know why his teammate was so unnaturally attached to him but he thought it would be beneficial to his teamwork if they were more close, so he let it carry on. “Yup!” she said with a warm grin, “Freddy’s waiting for us outside, and Foxy’s already on his way to school, oh yeah, and Alex is on her way with Ari.” SpringTrap groaned, he couldn’t stand Alex in the slightest, it wasn’t very helpful that she was the adoptive sister of the girl he liked. Bonnie threw off the apron she wore to Kya and grabbed SpringTrap’s hand, “Thank you Mr. Creeper!” she said as she pulled SpringTrap out the door and ran right past Freddy, a yellow-haired and dark-skinned trans girl who also had the features of a gray wolf, sitting on the steps. “YO, WAIT UP!!” Freddy jumped up and chased after the two just after they ran out the fence, bolting right past a short, red-haired and red-eyed girl who walked next to a taller, black-haired and big red eyed girl. The red haired girl pointed eagerly toward them, “Ari, there they are!” she said as she began to pull on her arm, though her size made it difficult for her. Ari stared ahead as SpringTrap began to run on his own, running in front of Bonnie and Freddy with a big bright smile on his face as they struggled to keep up with him. “Ari! They’re getting further away now!” The red haired girl began to get fed up with waiting and pulled Ari along with relative ease, sprinting along the sidewalk past Bonnie and Freddy and easily catching up to SpringTrap. “HEY, GRASSHEAD!!” she shouted out to him and he looked over to his left, seeing only Ari “Oh, hey Ari!” He smiled, “Bonnie said Alex was-” the red-haired girl named Alex let go of Ari’s arm, slid and stopped in front of SpringTrap, and upper-cutted him in the abdomen so hard he doubled over in pain and surprise. “I’m down here.” she said looking down at him, “Oh wait, you good?” SpringTrap nodded, pulling himself to his feet, “Still a tiny powerhouse- or shed- a powerhouse would be much bigger-” Alex sent an uppercut into his stomach again, but instead of hitting him, it went right into his left palm. SpringTrap gripped his hand around her fist and twisted her arm, bringing her to her knees, “OKAY, OKAY!! I GIVE UP!!” SpringTrap let go and as soon as he did, Alex jumped up and roundhouse kicked him in the face, still in midair. SpringTrap began to fall to the floor but instead landed on his hand and flipped into the air and landed on his feet before he began running again. Ari snapped out of her tired trance and bolted after him, “WOAH-” Alex shouted out before she stumbled to her feet and followed after them. Ari easily kept up with SpringTrap when she was at full sprint, but Ari didn’t have much stamina and soon began to fall behind, she fell forward but never hit the ground. Instead a black abyss opened up and she fell inside, coming out the other end inside of a black, empty space. Another black abyss opened up and Ari dropped right in front of SpringTrap, stopping him in his tracks. “Hey” she said, “Hi?” SpringTrap’s ears twitched as he spoke, a sign of nervousness while he talked to Ari, “You’re headed in the same direction right? To the school?” Ari looked into SpringTrap’s hair, seeing his eyepatch and that one bright green eye he would always use to look at her, he always thought she didn’t notice. Ari did, but chose not to say anything about it; her big, bright red eyes had a larger field of view than normal humans did, she could see one hundred and sixty degrees horizontally, and two hundred degrees vertically. “Should we go then? Your sister’s suspension ends today right?” SpringTrap sighed and they began to walk, Ari looking at his ears and tail twitch the whole time. “She’s not my sister, we just took her and her brothers in after they showed up at our house one night, I’ve told you this a hundred times!” Ari laughed, “If I didn't know any better I’d find that hard to believe! Green and Blue, those two colors match well and you two fight like one entity! Oh, you know what?” she asked him, “What” he said, looking down at her, “Someone with red hair would look great! They could join you guys and become an ass-kicking trio!” she let out another laugh just before they turned the corner, coming out right in front of a school. “Ah, well, looks like we’re here.” Ari said, looking up to him, “December twenty-sixth, right?” SpringTrap asked her, “Yeah, let’s hope we’re in the same class, hm?” she smiled, Ari was actually homeschooled, unlike her adoptive sister who went to school with SpringTrap and the others, while she was home. Ari always watched the window while her mother taught her in the living room of their two story home, seeing other kids walk, or run to school, a bus sometimes came for Alex when she was younger, and she watched as her father always walked her outside. Ari always waved to Alex through the window, she would enjoy seeing Alex’s tiny hand wave from the window of the bus, not able to see her face, but happy knowing that she must have been really happy every single time.
