They were heading out back and Ava realized she was starving since she doesn't eat much or often for that matter, and it would be good for them to go get something to eat.
"Hey Pierce wanna get something to eat" Ava was carrying the cake and the wine in a strong plastic bag. "YES!!" Pierce seemed intrigued when he wanted Ava to get plushy. Ava simply walked away into another store with a logo above the door. Pierce simply ducked and followed her in.
The aroma was different and it seemed to confuse Pierce but made him feel more relaxed in a way. The scent of the room was vanilla wafers, fried dough, and coffee. Ava took a big whiff of the shop and felt safe from the abdominal hell.
"You smell that . .. . . .." Ava took a pause to see if he could answer it.
"No worries and no Asch around . . . . . . . . . . . . perfect" Pierce's shoulders started to lower from their normal positions. Once they were from the line Ava asked for 2 donuts and 2 normal coffees.
After they got all the food, and sat down outside all the supplies were safely put on the table Ava handed the donut and the coffee. Pierce took a small nibble of the donut, he just did a very small smile and ate it quietly. "So why did you choose beer?" Ava blurted out.
"It's a well known thing for Daemos they drink, Noi hasn't had it yet. I used to do drinking competitions those were the best. . . . . . . . . . . . . and I met someone there, But. . . . . .. Ava I met someone at the beer store" Pierce soon drank the coffee it wasn't altered and felt happy with the dark coffee. 'OHHH really how, and who" Ava was sort of worried if it was a girl. "Ron, he gave me a phone number so you can call him for me. He was also in the navy or army like me," said Pierce, still continuing drinking the coffee.
"Wow thats nice your first friend on earth welcome but let's go and get a . . . . . . . . . . . . . yeah let's go and get to the apartment before someone does something stupid" Ava realized Pierce was in the army, Ava didn't knew much about Pierce since always concealed it to himself.
"Wait before we go I have a question. . . . . . .." Pierce gave a simple nod and his smile slowly died down. "How were you in the army?" she said.
