Narrator: Millicent Byers, single in New York. Millicent is a well educated and successful business woman, she works as a marketing manager for a big fashion design company, meaning she handled with the prices, advertising, designs, and more that represented the company. Although she has a well paying job the pressure can be unbearable at times, there is barely a day or hour that she has to her self to stop and relax not to mention finding a companion. Which wouldn't seem as a problem for her, she has beautiful brown golden hair, that shines and smooths in the sunlight, her toned olive skin, green eyes, and the small freckles that lay on her cheeks.
Millicent: Monday. Another day another week. I woke to blaring tone of my alarm that seemed to get louder every time I tried to ignore but I decided it's best to get up now and get ready for work instead of beginning late like usually am. I made my way to the bathroom to wash my face to wake me a bit then did my hair in a loose low bun and put on a little bit of makeup.
I try to look representable when I work, I like to be professional so when I got to my closet I put on a black dress that went to my knees with sleeves that reached my wrist paired with some black heels and a long coffee colored coat for warmth.
I grabbed my bag and a bagel for breakfast while making my way out the door to try and catch a taxing to work. After a few waves and a loud whistle a yellow taxi car came to a screeching stop. "Where to miss?" The taxi driver asked while giving me a glance in the rear view mirror. "Condé Nast corporate building please" I replied to the driver. The driver whistled swiftly "corporate building?! That's where the big guns are, why you goin there?" The driver asked. I usually don't get asked about my work but when I do I'm happy to reply.
"Oh I work in marketing management for the company I'm the Senior vice representative of the department!" I said happily.
"Well sounds like you have a life figured out for yourself!" He replied happily. "Here we are miss, Condé Nast corporate building!" He said as we pulled the front entrance of the building with people in suits and formal wear, flying in and out of doors with no one standing in there way. Dreading the busy day ahead I gather my things and give the driver an extra tip. "keep the change!" I said as I got out of the taxi and made my way to the building.
When the elevator opened to my floor my assistant, Tracy was waiting for me with my morning coffee "Good morning Mrs.Byers, here is your coffee along with a list of the numbers and tasks that need to be completed by the end of the day." She said as we walked down to my office. "Thank you Tracy." I said with a smile as she made her way to her desk.
"Oh there is one more thing I forgot to inform you about Thursday night." she said quickly turning around. "Thursday night? What's going on Thursday night?" I asked confused "There is a premiere, the last dual premiere on Thursday night and they needed a representative to look and interview the stars and their looks and-" I stopped her for a moment knowing that I HAD to go on that night to the premiere instead of going home and sleeping. "and they chose me to represent and interview the stars?" I asked correctly
"It won't be that bad, you'll get to socialize and meet some cool and famous people! Like Matt Damon....Oh and Ben Affleck he is so ho-" I stopped her again rolling my eyes playfully and giving a chuckle " alright Tracy I get it, I'll go." I said with a smile as I made my way to my desk and she made her way to hers.As I settled I started to think what I would wear for Friday night that a head of me, then I started to think about Matt Damon "what's so great about him anyway?" I said saying outside of my head. I guess I'll just have to find out.
