"He's so amazing!"

"He's so creative!"

"He's so unique!"

"So nice!"

"Our hero!"

"The best of the best!"

Those were the words echoing through the Monster Dome. The other racers were looking around to find the fans all fawning over Blaze, how he's so perfect and how great of a racer and hero he was.

It all echoed through the dome.

Echoed through their minds.

Echoed… everywhere.

It was fine at the first few months. They would celebrate him, celebrate his victories, celebrate the things he did for the city.

But… after a while, it started to hurt.

Starla raced her heart out with Zippy. It was supposed to be her and him. Just the two of them racing at the Piggy 500. She invited Blaze and AJ out of kindness.

But after the race? It was all about how THEY won the race. Like Zippy was THEIR pig.

Like she wasn't even there.

Zeg led the Dinosaur Parade. That was his job. And he loved marching with the dinosaurs, they were his friends. He invited Blaze and AJ to lead with him out of gratefulness.

But after the parade? All they could think about was the best friend duo leading the parade.

Like he wasn't even there.

Darington was due to do the Stuntmania. All by himself, like the stunt daredevil he was. And everyone was going to watch him, watch him zoom through his dream. He invited Blaze and AJ to thank them for getting him back to his stunt.

But after the stunt? All people talked about was how amazing Blaze and AJ were before and after the stunt.

Like the stunt belonged to them and not him.

Stripes loved babysitting the animals. All the parents trusted him, and he adored the trust of his animal friends as much as he adores the little kids. He asked Blaze and AJ to help him out because he wanted friends to help.

But after? The kids liked them better. Appreciated them better than they appreciate him. They wanted to be babysat by them and not him.

Like he wasn't the one who agreed to babysitting them in the first place.

And Watts. She was the third fastest racer in the city. But despite that, it wasn't enough. Even Gabby outshone her better when she was only driving her.

They win a race with Blaze and AJ, but only Blaze and AJ were appreciated by everyone.

They felt… invisible.

Unappreciated.

Looked over and ignored.

But what can they do?

Smile.

All they can do is smile.

Smile because no one cares if that's how they feel.

They wouldn't care.

Only they care for each other's feelings.

Just… smile.

Smile through the pain.
