Soulmate string

Soulmate strings appear when a person has met their romantic partner. Though it's not very known throughout remnant. A lot of people wake up randomly one day with a soulmate string from a person they had just met and formed a connection with.

Soulmate strings are very thin golden bracelets tied around your wrist and your soulmates wrist. They are invisible to everyone except you and your special person. They can stretch out for miles and never break.

Lie Ren and Nora Valkryie has a soulmate string but like many other people in the population, doesn't know what it's for. They had it since they met.

Nora likes to think of it as friendship bracelets while Ren never thought much of it.. that is until it is brought up in a book and Ren starts to get curious.

~Ren POV~

Nora and I have been sharing this weird bracelet like thing ever since we had met all those years ago. We can't seem to take it off so we just got use to it. I started to get more curious though. Ever since it was stated in a book as a very common thing for many people who have met a very special person in their life.

I guess Nora is kinda really important to me. She is pretty, kind, confident, brave, social. She's family to me but I want it to be more than that sometimes.

I guess I'll just try to find out more about  the bracelets right now.

A few hours later

I decided to go ask professor peach about this strange thing. She seems to know a lot about this kind of stuff.

"Excuse me? Professor peach?"

"Oh hello Ren. Do you need something? It's Saturday."

"Sorry to disturb your weekend but I have a question about something." I explain. "Do you know anything about golden bracelets attaching on two people?"

She grinned "Oh I'm guessing you and Nora have that. You seem to be really close."

"Yes we do. I want to know what it is."

"Well those golden bracelets are called soulmate strings. And if you have it, like it says in the name, you have found your soulmate."

"Oh.. what are soulmates?"

I never learned about that stuff growing up. I was always busy trying to keep Nora safe and training me and her to be better fighters.

"You know like couples and lovey dovey romance stuff like that. Pretty good explanation right?"

"So your saying me and Nora are all that stuff?" I don't normally get all flustered but that really got me

"You may not see it now but I know Nora trusts and cares about you a lot and that may lead to relationships. And I already know you like her it's really obvious in my class." She says with a smirk.

"Thank you for your help professor. Enjoy your weekend."

"You too Ren and don't forget to take your chances with Nora. Good will come to it I promise."

I nodded and walked out of her classroom.

I had never thought that me and Nora could be together romantically. I knew I always hoped for it but I never really expect it to happen because I'm never honest about my feelings.

I got a notification on my phone.

Nora: Renn where are youuu?? I have been waiting for almost a billion years for my daily dose of pancakes!!

Ren: Sorry I had to get something in order really quick.

Nora: Are you okay

Ren: I'm fine I'll be there in a second

Nora: Okay and also I was thinking maybee we can go somewhere in town?? :DD

Ren: Sure but first I need to see if we even have anymore syrup for the pancakes.

Nora: We alwaysss do. Okay cya! Boop!

I don't know why she always says that at the end of our conversations but it always made me feel warm inside.

I don't know what the future will hold for our relationship but I'm starting to feel more confident with her because of a small little string wrapped around our wrists. ♡
