I wake up and grab my phone, right beside me as always, and I see them time, 8.30. Late as usual, I roll out of my bed and I look through my closet quickly choosing a pair of black skinny jeans and my American Horror Story t-shirt. I quickly throw these on and make my way downstairs, to be greeted with the absolutely wonderful sight of my sister Tilly without her ten tonnes of makeup on her face. "You seriously need to stop wearing those loser shirts, if you want a boyfriend," Tilly claimed. I just rolled my eyes and started looking for anything edible because, I was absolutely starving at this stage and really needed something to eat. I grabbed a piece of fruit and I hair brush and began brushing my annoyingly frizzy hair, this being one of the days I was too lazy to even try straighten it. I set the brush down, picked up my bag and began to walk to the human embodiment of hell — high school. This school had every social group, from jocks to hipsters but it had very few alternative people like me — the "scene kids" or "emos" which didn't bother me that much because, I still had friends but I would have liked some that share similar interests as me, if I'm being honest. I walk into my class, which was the worst class for a person like me. It was filled with all the "preps" of the school — the people that the school actually gave a shit about, but I was an outcast. I was in a class filled with some blonde bimbos who absolutely hated me; I didn't really care though 'cos I wasn't too fussed on any of them either. The one girl who hated me the most was definitely Karla, she was the girl all the boys fell for but she looked absolutely disgusting to a girl with taste like mine and I despised her. She had perfect white teeth and an orange spray tan with hair bleached so blonde it was almost white! I sat in my seat at the back of the classroom and waited for my best friend to come, he was always late because he was obsessed with fashion. He dressed kinda quirkily, but unlike me he absolutely rocked it. I was the only person he had come out to and I was so glad that he trusted me with something like that and because of this, I knew we would be best friends for a long time. Finally he walked into class, "Tyler," I said as he started to grin at me. He was looking quite casual today, wearing his skinny jeans and a Fall Out Boy shirt, with a slouch beanie and his classic big white framed glasses which I loved so much on him. He sat down beside me and started messing around with his hair. Then the teacher arrived — the beginning of a day at hell has just arrived.

After 4 agonizingly long periods my favourite class had begun — lunch. And I was absolutely starving and couldn't wait to get something to eat. I lined up and out of nowhere, Tyler appeared (this happens a lot with him.) "Have you decided what you're getting for lunch Cass?" he asked, and I could've sworn that this was a rhetorical question. I got the same thing every single Monday at school — a baked potato with stuffing, chicken and gravy, a blueberry muffin and a large chocolate and banana milkshake. This NEVER changed. I just gave him that look which we had always gave the other person when they asked a question as sarcastic as that. He laughed it off as he started messing with his hair (I swear to God, that's like an hourly ritual for this guy!) The line was agonizingly long and I honestly couldn't be bothered waiting but I was damn broke this week so waiting for lunch at school was all I could afford. I hated asking my parents for money cos I know once I ask the rest of them will need money too. I started doing random shit like checking my phone, playing with the end of my shirt and messing with Tyler's hair (which did NOT result in a pleasant reply).

Eventually we got to the front of the line and by this point I was so hungry I could've ate the wall in front of me (which was not at all appealing 15 minutes ago) I ordered my food and began to look for a table to sit at. The problem with Tyler being my only friend was that there weren't enough of us to fill up a table so we ended up having to sit beside a bunch of randoms Every Single Day. I sat at a table with these two twins; they had the curliest red hair I've ever seen in my life! They looked like the sort of people Karla would be friends with, but I guessed they weren't dumb enough to actually consider being one of her minions, (or as she calls them "friends.") I started eating and then Tyler sat down opposite me, he had gotten a salad — I really didn't have a clue how he didn't just feel hungry the second after eating one of those! They were more of a side order than a meal in my opinion. We both started eating in silence, but it wasn't awkward we just preferred silence when we were eating. When I was eating at home I'd be lucky if the room wasn't louder than a concert.

We finished our food and started doing our daily routine of walking around the school, I never understood why we did this every day, it's not like the school had changed overnight. I see Tilly walking past, behind Karla. Even though Tilly is older than us she's still one of Karla's most trusted minions because Tilly would do absolutely ANYTHING to gain another 100 followers on her Instagram, her life revolved around popularity in real life, and on social media. To Tilly, not another thing in the world mattered — or even existed! Tyler sighed; one of the biggest embarrassments for him was the fact that Karla was his sister! Twin sister to be exact. We both sighed simultaneously and began walking to class for the last two periods of hell. I couldn't wait for the dorky sleepover we had planned tonight.
