The minute her eyes flickered open, sunlight was there to greet her. It took a few blinks to face the brightness, and that's when she felt the burning sensation on her arms. She was for sure sunburnt, she could feel it, not to mention the sweltering sand that lay beneath her arms. Clarke forces her aching body up only to emit a hiss of pain. She reached to her side where the shock had come from. She feels a warm liquid envelop her hand, and when she pulls it away, the crimson red liquid made the blood that was still in her body go cold, and the smell of iron intoxicated her, making her  head spin.

She grabbed the nearest tree branch and pulled herself up, limping towards the end of the trees. From there she could see a never ending beach both ways, and the dark grey ocean in front of her. She could hear screams but her brain was too clouded to register them. Nevertheless she began to limp in the direction where the cries originated.

The first thing that came into sight was a huge metal object on fire. The heat was so intense that she could feel it from where she stood. She seen frantic bodies running in every direction, and the smell of burning skin and boiling blood was immensely strong, that she struggled to stay standing.

Clarke heard another shriek closer by, and went to investigate. She instantly recognized the girl. It was Raven.

"Raven!" she yells, dropping to her knees. Clarke notices the piece of shrapnel in her back near her spine. "Shit, Raven, stay still." Raven groans in agony as Clarke stands, searching for help. It's useless though, everyone needs help, every one's in danger.

With her own injury it makes it hard to move, to walk, let alone run. She spot her mother not too far down the beach, and tells Raven to hang on before she makes the mad dash. She knows its a bad idea, and her mother would scold her, but she needs to save her best friend.

Abigail was kneeling next to a body herself, wrapping an arm with a piece of cloth. Her eyes are red and puffy from crying, but all her concentration is on the girl at hand. it was actavia. She had a deep cut running up her left forearm. The second Abby sees her daughter, a weight is lifted off her shoulders.

"Clarke, thank god you're okay," she breathes, tugging her daughter in a light hug. "You're hurt Clarke, we need to get it out," she moves to get her first aid kit but Clarke stops her.

"No, I'm fine, but Raven needs help, I think her spine had been damaged and she can't move, come on she's over here." Clarke leads her mom over to where Raven is, and Octavia works up enough energy to follow them.

"You can help her right?" Clarke inquired helplessly.

"I'll see what I can do, but I need you and Octavia to search the beach, get any useful materials, and if you come across an injured person, help them the best you can, if it's bad, come get me." Octavia and Clarke nod and leave Abby alone with Raven. She tries to keep her responsive, but blood loss has been excessive.

Clarke takes a moment to take everything in, splashing her face with cold salt water. She listens to the cries, the screams of death, of pain. She knows there's nothing she can do. She feels helpless. Why did this have to happen to her? To anyone on the plane? What really caused it to crash? The questions repeat in her mind time after time, but the only thing she know is. They're Lost.
