June 5, 2014, Detective Terrence was on his way to work when his partner, also a private eye, Jason stopped him to talk about vacation plans. Terrence said," I want to go to Las Vegas, so we can have some fun." Jason said, "That Vegas is fun but we need to relax and enjoy ourselves." They agreed to go stay with Jason's friend Jay Biller in Bealeton, Virginia.

Jay has been friends with Jason since the age of twelve, so they know what the other likes. Jay is normal guy who works at the library on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the Post Office on Thursdays and Fridays. He also likes to read books about mystery.

A week later, Terrence and Jason made it to Bealeton safe and soundly. First they unpacked, then had some pizza and took a nap from the long drive. When they woke up, Terrence and Jason decided to go to the old jailhouse in Warrenton. After seeing all the cool mysteries at the haunted jail, they went to Carousel to have some ice cream and fries. When they just finish eating the amazing food, they heard sirens heading toward the woods near Fauquier High School. Like instinct they followed it and noticed that near a small campsite were two dead bodies, one was stabbed, the other one shot. The victims were identified as John and Jake Smith. At the scene, there was a police officer named Bob, and he was told to go find some detectives for this small case, so instantly Jason and Terrence were hired for the job.

The thing they did was inform Jay that they may be in Bealeton longer than they may expect. Then they were off inspecting the scene, and they found a beer bottle, a bow and arrow, and a note saying that John had to leave early, so he could go find some good fish before they are all caught. They decided to look outside of the scene and there they found some footprints that eventually led to a note that said, "If you dare come and find me, your best friend will die." Terrence knew he had to stick close to his friend or else something bad might happen.

The next day there was another murder right outside of Liberty High School, the victim was Jessica Rebecca. It looked like she was beaten to death, but the murderer must have been wearing gloves because there were no fingerprints. Terrence was on this case while Jason was out helping Jay look for a gift for Jay's mom's birthday. Terrence searched the empty parking look for any clues, and he found a note that said, "STOP LOOKING OR ELSE!" Next thing he heard was his phone ringing; it was Jay calling to say that there had been another murder outside of the Buddhist Temple in Catlett.

Terrence noticed something on the way to the temple, so far that all the victims' names has started with letter J including the one in Catlett, who was Jerry Matt. Jerry was killed with an arrow in his chest. Terrence was getting worried about these murders with his best friend and partner around that started with letter J. Jason found a note right out of the scene that said," You are DEAD!" A second later, Terrence heard a scream, he ran toward the sound and there was Jason dead on the cold ground with a huge gash in the back of his head. Terrence was crying when Bob the officer came to the scene and noticed the private eye's dead body. All the notes had been a trap, so this serial killer could stop Terrence from finding him. When Jay came over he started to mourn over his friend's death.

At the funeral for Jason, Terrence decide to quit the mystery because it would hurt him in the heart, but a week later he noticed that he had to protect Jay because he knew Jason would want him to do that. He drove back to Bealeton and continued on his mystery. He studied all the scenes and noticed that all of them had a letter in a tree nearby. The letters read JAIL, which probably meant where the killer was. Terrence drove half way there when he noticed a wall covered in graffiti that said, "Tim the Robot needs you, Terrence." He knew what message meant, so he went over to Jay's neighbor's house and asked if he could talk to Tim. Tim had a message for Terrence that said, "I will be at the cemetery in Warrenton, bring me a ransom of five thousand dollars or Jay is gone." Terrence drove as quickly as he could to the bank and asked the banker for five thousand dollars. The banker was surprised with that amount of money being withdrawn, but he allowed it. At the cemetery, Jay standing near Jason's grave and holding a note that said "Put the money on grave that had red daisies." Terrence did that and fell through a hole that came out of nowhere.

There stood a guy that Terrence didn't know. His name Michael John and he was a college student that was teased as a young kid. Terrence ask why did he kill everyone but Michael said that he hadn't kill anyone but he wanted to tell Jay's neighbors that he wanted the money back or else he would let their bluebird, Jay, go. Terrence was really confused when he heard that. Michael explained that a year ago the neighbors stole his mom's favorite art picture and destroyed it. Jay Biller was going to buy it but Terrence, one of Jay's neighbors, stole it. Michael told the police, but they didn't listen, so Michael got everything ready yesterday. Michael said sorry and when Terrence tried to give the money he refuse.

Now Terrence was nowhere close to being done with the mystery. Then out of nowhere two logs were hurling straight toward him, but at the last second Terrence ducked. After the near death experience, Terrence examined the logs and notices the letters KETTLE. Not knowing anything around here, Terrence asked Jay about the word Kettle and Jay said there was a school called Kettle Run High School. Terrence drove his car all the way to Kettle Run, but he was too late another victim was killed in a car accident. Police found out that car was under remote control and the victim was identified as Jacob Vent. There was a note in the car that said the words HOME OF THE PANDAS. If Terrence remembers from his small history lesson on Fauquier County, H.M. Pearson Elementary School mascot was a panda.

Terrence drove all the way Pearson for nothing because all he saw was field of cows. Then there was what must have been the most gruesome death he had ever seen. It was a lady who had no head and a couple feet away were her head and a phone. Terrence checked the phone and noticed a text that said Haunted Hallow. In the middle of July was not a good time to have a Halloween party, but Terrence discovered that Haunted Hallow is on a haunted farm. He drove to Warrenton and right before the turn onto the road near the farm, a piece of paper that landed on his windshield. It said Bodies of Blood, and then a huge semi hit his car.

Terrence woke up in a hospital bed a couple of days later, with a concussion and a broken leg. He yelled that case is going to kill me, and then it all clicked, the capital letters spell BOB.

A week later he was on his one foot and the nurse drove him to the police department. There was Bob at the front desk. In front of his coworkers, Terrence confronted Bob about how he has been killing the victims, his friend, and tried to kill Terrence twice. Bob confessed that he did that because he wanted to make all these stupid people leave Fauquier so his job would be easier, and he also said that he wasn't trying to kill people with the letter J.

Now that the murderer was in jail, and everyone was safe and sound, Terrence needed a new partner since Jason was dead, so Jay decided to quit his jobs and become a Private Eye under the wing of Detective Terrence.
