Always In My Mind

Me and Jane agreed to meet at the local park. I was really exited and kinda nervous too. As I approached the park I saw Jane waving in the distance. I beamed a bright smile as I walked up to her. "Okay Y/N I have a really fun day planned out for us!" I nodded my head as she took my hand. We strolled for a bit before Jane led us towards a building. The sign read 'Roller Skating Rink'.

I hadn't ever been roller skating before but I was always the type of person who was open to new things. We got our roller skates and headed to the rink. As we entered I immediately fell. Jane laughed and held her hand out to me. I took it and we held hands the entire time to ensure I wouldn't fall again. We skated for a bit before I saw a familiar face. Just my luck, it was Eddie. He had his whole DND group with him and they were comforting him it looked like. He soon spotted me and froze. "Y/N watch out!" Jane yanked my hand tightly pulling me away from the wall I almost ran into. "Thanks." I murmured. I looked over at Eddie again to see him walking towards me. I tried to get away but forgot I was wearing roller skates. I fell down and Jane sighed. "Girl your a hassle." She lifted me up and directed me off the rink. We took a seat at a table and Eddie was still walking towards us. "Hey can I please talk to you Y/N, in private?" Eddie tapped his foot on the ground repeatedly. I nodded and got up from my seat.

He directed me to a corner of the building where we could barely be seen. "I don't think we should be together anymore." Eddie quickly said. I hid my face with my hair as my eyes became drenched. "Mike was having problems at home and he ran all the way to my place because I was the closest place he could go to, he was all sweaty so I told him to take a shower and gave him some of my dads clothes, than he slept on the couch while I was in my room and he left first thing in the morning." The story I told Eddie wasn't a lie but it also wasn't the complete truth. I guess it was believable though because he took a huge sigh and hugged me closely. "Y/N I'm so sorry, I should've let you explain yourself." I wrapped my arms back around him and we just stood there and hugged for awhile just glad to be in each others arms. While we did though there was a person I couldn't stop thinking of. Mike, he was in my brain constantly and I didn't know why, I kept thinking back to the night when he said "I am yours and you are mine." The words made my brain fuzzy and my stomach flutter. Was making up with Eddie the right decision?
