Walking into this coffee was like walking into a movie scene. The aroma of the fresh coffee beans filled the air while the beautiful portraits of the family's owners gave the shop a homey effect, not to mention the chocolate brown sofas that made me feel like I was a part of a real life set. I chose to sit by the counter where the waitress came to take my order. I asked her to recommend something to me since I had no clue about the menu or the drinks there. She suggested the Caramel brownie macchiato, their best seller and personal favorite so I went for it. "The Caramel brownie macchiato, yeah that's the best,'' someone said to me, which was the longest sentence anyone has said to me since I came. I turned to my right to see this tall, and I mean tall, and oh was he handsome and ripped like I guarantee you he never skips leg day, black hair or was it brown, I couldn't remember because his eyes, oh my gosh, his eyes were like looking into a beach, it was a beautiful aqua blue. "Really? Well then it must be pretty good cause if you tried it, then it must be good,'' I mumbled, struck by his appearance which clearly wasn't the best sentence but I ran with it. "I'm Owen by the way ...Owen Carrington'', "Catherine.....Catherine Stark," I replied. "Oh well what brings you here Catherine Stark?" Owen says mysteriously while sipping his drink "Adventure, I guess." I replied not really knowing what I implied there. He looked at me clearly wanting more than just that answer I gave him. So I told him why I moved to California and how much this summer sucked but yet excited for what tomorrow may hold. He told me that everything was gonna be okay and that I'm gonna kill it tomorrow and make awesome friends and just enjoy my Junior year. It was getting dark but I didn't mind because its the last day of summer break and I was in a coffee shop talking to a boy, nothing felt more exciting. I told him about my love for the arts which he had zero relations too but I found out that he is a Rom-com guy and has indeed watch the To All The Boys I've Loved Before movies. Made me feel a bit sad he never read the books but we'll leave it at that, no love lost. It was all just feeling like a movie, I just came in to try a local favorite and now I'm here talking to a cute boy. Well, that was until my mom rang my phone telling me it was time to come home that's when I realized it was already ten o'clock, I couldn't believe I stayed there talking to him for four hours. "I guess I'll text you and we'll talk later." Owen said while punching his number on my phone and asking for mine. I couldn't believe a boy was asking for my number. I shouted it out before running off to get home. I ran up to my room and pulled out a box that I had hidden on top of my bathroom cabinet, a box full of characteristics of what I always wanted in a boy and crazy enough Owen fit all of it. I know it's crazy to think about all of this when we just met like six hours ago, but for some reason, it just felt right, he just felt right. Then my phone lit up.Owen: Goodnight Cat, how are you tonight ? Don't worry, you're gonna kick butt in your new school tomorrow, I believe in ya.
Honestly that was more than what I needed to get excited about this new school year. I just can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store.
