"Love does not involve misogyny,
nor does it involve hypocrisy.
It's not about feeling ecstasy,
It's about trusting in me.

In a world full of lies,
You were the one who made my favorite pie.
As cheesy as it sounds,
You kept my foot off the ground.

Waking up beside you has been nothing but Euphoric.
It's like I've won something by being heroic.
Maybe I've been too good in my past lives,
Either way meeting you would be my only incentive.

You in all your living glory,
Standing beneath the holly.
It's Christmas season,
You're in your green sweater,
Hands holding onto a tiny box sporting a blue ribbon.

You gave it to me,
Nervousness present across your face.
Opening the box in a slowed pace,
Relatives have surrounded the place.
Cameras flashed and others recording.

You got down onto one knee,
And asked the very question that got us here, On this altar.
Drunk or sober,
I have you know I'd say "yes" forever.

I vow to love you every day,
With or without pay.
In sickness and in health,
even if you like kelp.

You've made me the happiest,
even if you make the snappiest remarks.
Your smile will always brighten up any dark day,
even if I'm not feeling okay.

This vow might be a little silly,
But you're the only person I'd love to marry.
I'd like to say thank you,
And I do."

Authors note : Almost had the urge to make it a story not a poem, in where plots were twisted and turned dark.
But I think I'll make it happy, for this one at least.
