The moon is surely a very fascinating place. Just imagining life up there gives me chills, but that glory isn't cut out for everyone. I stared at the fascinating sphere in awe. One day I will go up there and join my dad. "Dave, time for dinner.", I heard my mom shouting from the kitchen. Life hasn't been easy for my mom ever since my dad left to save the world last week. The look of distress hasn't left her face. We were all alone. We only had each other.
The only thing I had besides my mom was my imagination. I imagine living with my parents on the moon with aliens and the cows they abducted. I imagine that I have superpowers and that I could fly. But imagination comes at the price of disappointment. I was disappointed because I didn't live on the moon and I didn't have superpowers. But most of all, I was disappointed that my mom wasn't happy.
I quietly ate my tomato soup and even took second helpings. My mom giggled, "For an 8 year old, you have quite an appetite." I looked at my mom and smiled, she was slowly forgetting the untimely excursion by my father to save the world. It was then that the doorbell rang. I rushed to open it, and on the other side of the door was a monster.
I stared at the huge monster standing in front of me. It was wearing a trench coat and a huge hat to cover up it's ugly face. "Where's your mother?", it asked me in a raspy snake like voice. My mother appeared and stared at the monster. It removed it's hat and I saw it's ugly face. It's face was covered in red spots like a black widow spider. It's eyes were like a snakes. It was a monster that had come to get me and my mom. "Elizabeth, tomorrow on wards you will be take the position of my slave. You better obey me or I will take out my rage on you and your son. UNDERSTOOD?" I turned my gaze to my mom who looked terrified."Yes...your highness.", She replied.
