Mr. Darkwood's pov
I couldn't wait for tonight and I know Jaxson and Hunter felt the same. I'm pretty sure they still haven't gotten used to the fact that they can shift anytime they want to without any pain at all. It takes a little practice for us all to be comfortable with it and we're getting really good at it. We all walked around outside for what felt like an eternity waiting for night to fall.
We had been training with weapons all day so that was good because the last thing that I wanted was for someone to get hurt tonight. Finally it got dark and we went in and began training using the weapons. As I swung my bat I could tell that Hunter could see everything I was doing, the way that my body moved as my swings hit the targets and how I could make a single hit. He could also tell that Jaxson could see everything too, especially with the amount of power in his hits. We worked our asses off until finally we all decided to go inside to dinner, as well as sleep, knowing that we would be up early tomorrow morning, ready to begin training again.
Everyone was asleep when I heard a whimper coming from one of the rooms, I went in and looked over at Athena, whose face showed pure terror. I slowly walked over and said "it's just a dream sweetheart, nothings gonna happen" but then she cried out more, her hand was covered in blood, I picked her up and carried her to my room and laid down with her beside me. I looked down at her beautiful face and whispered, "you will always be ours baby girl, even if we have to watch your back every minute of every day."
