Not much to say about this one, honestly.
Originally, this and Lethal Cargo, the next short story up, took place in between The Blind War and Into the Void. They still technically do, now they just take place during Into the Void.
For this one, I really just wanted something that gave me an opportunity to explore the relationship slowly developing between Jennifer and Genevieve, and also write about a weird monster that was basically just another Erebus on a smaller scale.
