We'd Be Good Together

chapter one: introduction

It was a regular Saturday morning. I was awake, but too tired to actually get up out of bed.

I hear a knock on the door.
"Come in? " I say, sitting up and rubbing my eyes. Oh, it was my father.

"Y/n, theres something I need to discuss with you, " he said, giving me a serious look.

'𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘶𝘱 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘮? 𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴... '

"I'm going to be blunt. You've heard of the Kira case, correct? "
I nod my head. "Then you've certainly heard of the infamous.. 'L', yes? " I nod my head again.

"What're you getting at, Father? You said you'd be blunt. " I say, rather annoyed.

"Well, the detective would like to bring you in for questioning. You'll be meeting him personally, however. "

"Personally!? I thought his identity is a secret? Not to be revealed to some random person?? " you say, scratching your head.

"Well, the detective works with Chief Yagami, a good friend of mine. He trusts you. " he said, giving me the "you're not getting out of this, " look.
I rolled my eyes.

"Fine." I manage to mutter.
