The bell rung and signaled for your day to end. Gathering all your things and telling everyone goodbye, you walked out the door. Well. More like ran out the door. You just couldn't stand being in that place anymore especially when your day was going to be filled with adventure.
As soon as you exited the school, you spotted Marshall Lee. He was leaning up against the light pole that was outside. He had his arms crossed over each other. Leaning his head back against the pole, some of his hair were resting over his eyes. It was as if he was waiting for you to walk out sooner.
"Are you ready to go to the land of Ooo?" He said, pushing himself off the pole.
With a grin on your face, you nodded. Marshall held his hand out to you with a mischievous smirk on his face and with the excitement building up within you, you placed your hand on his.In one swift movement, Marshall Lee was holding you bridal style and you were up in the air with him. Instinctively, you wrapped your arms around his neck along with hiding your face there. A low chuckled could be heard leaving the male's lips.
"Don't tell me you're scared now?" He asked looking down at you. You puffed your checks out and went to look down below. Everything looked so small but different.
"Are we already here Marshall?" You questioned looking back to him.
"Yeah. What did you think? It was going to take an hour?"
"I did actually. . ." You bluntly answered his rhetorical question as your feet touched the bright green grass. You wore a smile that stretched from ear to ear. Your legs dashed off, running up a hill to look over the land."Whoa! I can see everything from here!" You shouted, having your arms spread out beside you. A calm wind had passed you by while Marshall moved against it to stand next to you.
"So shall we go cause some ruckus at the candy kingdom?" He asked. His hands, stuffed in his pants pockets looking over to you. It was almost the same look he gave when you walked out from the school but it was somehow different at the same time. Your cheeks felt hot and you immediately turned your gaze else where.
"Wouldn't it be wrong to do that? I'm sure Prince Gumball wouldn't like the idea. . ." You spat without a second thought but soon regretted it. Marshall Lee never did enjoy when ever /his/ name rolled out from your tongue.
"Tch. Yeah and? He's such a buzzkill. He wasn't the one that brought you here to give you a gift, now did he?" He crossed his arms once again and began walking down the hill. Was that small shade of pink on his cheeks? You followed right behind him, trying to apologize. "I'm sorry. . . I didn't mean to get you all upset. . ."
Instead, you received the cold shoulder. "Marshall, I said I was sorry. I don't know what else you want me to do. . ."Once you both had reached the candy kingdom, he pointed to the side of a candy house.
"Make it up to me by graffitiing that house." He pulled a can out from who knows where, and tossed it to you. With a confused look, you caught the can. "Make it up to you by ruining some one else's house?" You repeated in an irritated tone. The spray can was chucked back at the male but he dodged the flying object before it knocked him upside the head.
"You ignore me then say I have to make it up to you by doing something reckless on my own birthday? I should just go meet up with Finn and Jake instead to fight some monsters with them!" Before you could storm away, a cold hand took grasp of your wrist.
"Calm down there tiger. I was just kidding. I wasn't going to let you do that even if you tried too. . . I guess I took it too far didn't I?" He ruffled the back of his hair while speaking so casually like he did nothing at all."Just. . . Ah, I'll be right back. Don't move." Once that was said, Marshall had flew off into the candy kingdom within seconds then came back with a box. A small, red box with a white box on top to be exact. He held it out to you while looking off to the side. "Happy Birthday Julia. . ." He mumbled though it was still loud enough for your ears to pick up the kind words.
You looked at the box and carefully took it from his hand. "Aw, thank you Marshall. You didn't have to get me anything you know. . ."
He kicked a pink rock off to the side. "I got you something anyways." He shrugged his shoulders, stuffing his hands back in his pockets. "Open it."
